Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream Tub 457ml

Best vanilla ice cream ever. I've tried so many different brands (Those in litre tubs are the worst - should be a crime to sell them) and they all seem cheap. Even "hand made" gelatos cannot compare. Other brands have lots of air content and feel very bland/simple kind of sweet. Like sugar with vanilla essence. This and (probably ben&J but they don't make vanilla) is thick, deep and complex in flavours, sinks your taste buds in. It has high milk content but who cares. You eat this to indulge, enjoy the moment. 1000kJ calories well spent. If you need to lose weight, switch to Coke No Sugar, eat less or exercise more. Don't cheap out on dessert. Delicious creamy

Not the first time I bought this ice cream and won't be the last. It is on the expensive side but it is que te worth it. It is not too compact easy to roll, very creamy and the vanilla taste is definitely present, it is not some cheap fake aroma. It is quite indulgent but sometimes we worth it ha ha. Would recommend. This product was bought part of a promotion.

I will only eat this ice cream

I've never found a better vanilla ice cream. Its ingredients are so pure! Proper ice cream like this is rock hard out of the freezer and needs to rest for ten minutes at room temperature before serving. It's not too sweet, not too creamy. You don't need to eat gobs to feel you've had a treat. The vanilla flavour is indescribably divine. The only improvement would be to make it out of organic ingredients.

Lovely taste!

I think that this is my favourite vanilla ice cream. The flavour of vanilla is stronger than other brands and it is creamy without being too rich. My main comment would be that it can be very difficult to scoop even with a heated scoop/spoon. This is obviously very minor so it doesn’t change my overall view of the product but it would be great if a softer scoop version could be created. I bought this item on promotion but will definitely buy again!

On Occasion

I believe it was when Nestle acquired Haagen Dazs things began to change. Though Pillsbury bought the company in 1983, I don't believe I noticed any appreciable change in flavor, mouth feel, or melting. Haagen Dazs was the best melt in your mouth and was the first VANILLA ice cream to pass my lips. It was an experience. Today, while I've not found an ice cream I enjoy more, I occasionally buy Haagen Dazs for that reason.

Vanilla pod?

This used to be my absolute favourite, I'd walk over hot coals to get it but lately the flavour is not the same. The vanilla pod is missing and they just have the extract, it makes a big difference. I'll still buy it until I find a better one and only when on offer.

Yummy

So simple yet so yummy. Creamy. Tasty. One of my favorite ice creams. Wonderful as a dessert, shake, with and without toppings. Melts wonderfully. I always want this in the freezer and it always hits the spot. #sweepstakes

This must be the only vanilla ice cream on the market that is made with exactly the same ingredients as you would at home. No guar gum, no stabilisers, no carotene, no xanthan whatever. (What is that stuff anyway? Why do most other ice creams have such a long list of ingredients, some of which sound like the name of a far off galaxy? Anyway, I digress.) This tastes delicious and has the texture of real ice cream, because thats what it is. I stopped making my own when I found this stuff. I used to make my own because I preferred the kids to eat real food, instead of a cocktail of chemicals. So this saves me a huge amount of effort, plus its yummy too. Whats not to like? Also, homemade ice cream makes a rather nice sauce if you allow it to defrost completely, and so does this.

no guar gum!

It seems to be the only decent ice cream made with just a few ingredients, and no guar gum! That stuff just turns the ice cream into a nasty gooey stretchy mess if not consumed quickly enough. Having searched most brands, I have concluded that Haagen Dazs brilliantly creates a great range of delicious ice creams which are true to the natural flavours of the ingredients, without resorting to substances that should never find their way into ice cream. simple and good

This is such a nice wholesome ice cream, very few ingredients - the same as you would use to make your own at home. It goes with everything- fruit, desserts, milkshakes by itself. What I like about it is that it doesnt make you want to eat the entire tub, it can easily be stretch to 4-5 servings but because its quite rich it still feels generous
