This product has helped me collect a milk stash without having to pump! The silicone makes it really comfortable to wear rather than other hard plastic options out there. The suction helps it stay in place on its own to collect letdown, but it’s not super strong so I feel more comfortable sitting it in my bra too. It should be obvious from the description, but the suction does not make this a pump like the regular Hakka. It just helps it stay in place. My only complaint is the hole to pour milk out of is very small so I find it gets a little clogged with milk fats and takes some jiggling to get all the milk out. If they made that a little bigger this would be the best product hands down!

FTM here. I had no idea about let down of milk while feeding. Was wetting straight through breast pads and wetting all my nursing singlets. The haakaa was sucking more out than needed rather than just catching the let down, and was also annoying to try keep on while also nursing and burping. My supply was a lot already so I didn’t want to encourage more. So I ordered the lady bugs. They came over night and I live rural. I was so happy. They work wonderful for me. I just put them in on the other breast while feeding, catch everything, no leakage. Small enough to fit in the bra and the suction isn’t strong enough to bring on more milk. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Two weeks pp I discovered my top drenched from the opposite side bub was feeding from, I remembered I had a ladybug in the cupboard and I've never looked back. Currently filling my freezer with letdown to add to bubs solids when be gets older or the odd bottle if needed. I've also recently purchased the 40ml 'babybugs' we call them s they're so cute to wear overnight as I was sick of being drenched in the mornings with bub sleeping longer over night now. Just hope Haakaa can come up with a bra extender as it's stretching the fabric when I pull it over the ladybugs unfortunately.These work a treat for me as they don't fall off (as secured in bra) unlike the original Haakaa pump.

It’s kinda a useless product for me, I had two of these and yet kept leaking through my shirts and such . It’s bulky. If ur busy it’s hard to use. While nursing on one side the baby kicks the Hakka that’s attached to the other breast. I guess it can work if ur pumping one breast at a time. Also, I haven’t tried sleeping with it since it’s so uncomfortable to wear. And suction does break so u have to wear a bra to keep it on ur chest. However, it does catch milk so I guess it does serve it’s purpose ok. Just not convenient to use in my case.

I know these can be used without suction, but I feel a bit of suction is needed so that they stay in place. I’m a Haakaa fan girl. The original Haakaa pump was life-changing for me and helped me make a decent milk stash for returning to work. Naturally, I was intrigued by the Ladybug. I bought a set and used them today for the first time with my 9 month old (my milk supply is very regulated with no over production).I was expecting something gimmicky even though Haakaa is a trusted brand for me. To my surprise, it did exactly what it was supposed to. I really like it for use with my older baby, who rips off my haakaa pump when I try to use it while nursing.I’d love a Haakaa pump that is similar to the original but shaped like the ladybug for concealment and so baby doesn’t rip it off as she gets older. The ladybug is not that, but it is a very useful tool.
HUGE LIFE SAVER for sore nipples. My baby is a week old and has destroyed my nips. I have been collecting milk this way because nursing and pumping currently hurts! I put the milk into bottles to feed my baby with! This works as a milk catcher for let-down when nursing on the opposite breast and also functions as a Hakka (suction) if you squeeze it when you insert. It is much more gentle than the original Hakka. I can place one on each breast when baby is sleeping and it will suction out my milk (I can get about 1-2 oz from each breast) i recommend you buy two! One for each breast or a spare for when when one is dirty!
I purchased the 40ml option. They’re a great idea for but soaking through heaps of breast pads, so have been using overnight for catching letdown on feeds. They’re kind of like the idea of a mebstrual cup vs pads. However, they’re bulky enough that I definitely couldn’t wear them around all day or out in public- I’d lol like Dolly Parton. They’re also not comfortable enough to wear when sleeping- they sort of get in the way of where I want to cross my arms or lye. But when I used them to sleep overnight, although uncomfortable, it was the first time I didn’t wake up with a wet top which was great. The carry bag is already really cute.

I have an extreme oversupply, so my my milk coming in is a very painful experience., which leads me to only nurse one side per feeding and results in a lot of leakage in the breast not feeding. Using the ladybugs this time to collect milk on the opposite side of my feeding has been HUGE for me. I used the Haaka with my first child, but due to the suction it caused me to produce even more milk and led to even more engorgement. I have only used this as a collector this time around, and in less than 48 hours I have 14 ounces of breast milk already frozen from collection ALONE. Wish I could return it. I bought because I LOVE the regular Hakka and saw this came out just after I had my baby. I lost my Hakka on a trip and decided to give this one a try. I read the reviews and still thought it would be a good idea. It literally falls right off. You have to wear a tight bra to secure it in place. Zero suction which I know it says but just so you know it literally has a hole and if you drip it will catch the milk. Wasn’t even worth saving the tiny tiny bit it caught vs the regular Hakka. I would not buy again and would tell anyone I knew not to buy it, get the regular one that’s amazing instead!!
