Hafele Bed BracketSet

Have not fitted these to a bed yet so some initial impressionsThe main body of the central brackets are 1.9mm thick steel and feel suitably strong and fit together tightly due to their wedge action, though the mating pieces do not line up with each other so you would need to take that into account when fitting them to the bed, to get the central beam to sit at the right height.The main body of the corner brackets is 2.5mm thick steel so feels very strong. When a corner bracket is joined together, there is about a 0.15mm gap between the mating faces so they do not fit together tightly and are slightly wobbly/rattly and could lead to a squeaky bed. I am hoping this can be fixed by attaching something (rubber, leather, gaffa tape?) to one of the mating faces to close the gap to allow for a suitably tight fit.The screws supplied are not fit for purpose. The package I got had a weird mix of screws and many of them won't work with the brackets.I got 6 x smaller (16mm long including head) pozidriv countersunk screws that could be used with the central brackets and the heads are small enough to allow the bracket to fit together, however 8 of these screws are needed here and I only received 6.I received 4 x pozidriv button head screws that I expect are meant to be used to lock the corner brackets in place after assembly of the bed. This might help with the issue of the 0.15mm gap mentioned earlier.I received 35 x larger (25mm including head) pozidriv countersunk screws that it seems are meant to be used with the corner brackets (and perhaps the bracket pieces that attach to the central beam), however when you sit them in countersunk holes on the corner brackets, the heads protrude from the surface by about 0.7mm, so the brackets won't fit together with these screws in place. The 0.7mm is larger than the 0.15mm gap between the mating faces mentioned earlier. The smaller countersunk screws would work here as they have smaller heads but I only received 6 of those. There are 8 of these countersunk holds (between the nub posts on the corner brackets) that need smaller screw heads.So overall despite the issues, the brackets themselves are cheap and strong and worth the ~16 dollars, and I think can hopefully be modified to fix the likely wobbly issues. You can expect that you will need to find extra screws to suit the brackets and the material (wood, chipboard, etc) that you are using for the bed.Shame it is not perfect but since it is cheap and easily available I will only take off a star for the issues. Only recommended if you are willing to work around the issues.
