I bought my fridge four months ago and fair enough, my review title is exaggerated. It is not impossible to use, it is so difficult that I pause to think whether I actually need anything out of it before opening. You see, when you open it, it constantly falls off the runners. I mean, constantly. I thought it was my problem, or the kids and told them to use 2 hands for it to run smoothly. It is fine if there is virtually nothing in it, but I have it full of fruit and veg. Any weight in it (like watermelon in summer, or simply food) means it dislodges and then you have to physically lift the drawer back into the runners and try to get it to run smoothly with two hands. This is trying to lift and run the drawer in when the door does not open to a 180 degrees so you ... MoreI bought my fridge four months ago and fair enough, my review title is exaggerated. This is trying to lift and run the drawer in when the door does not open to a 180 degrees so you have to be careful about the rubbers on the doors and the shelf in the door as you have limited space. This is another frustration in the situation.Given my children cannot do this, can you imagine the frustration of being called EVERYTIME they have to use the Freshbox drawer? (Some of my children are bigger than I am!) The runner is even at such a position that you cannot drop the drawer down onto the top of the MyZone section and cut your losses by not using the runner at all. Either the drawer is not wide enough to use the runner efficiently or the runner is too shallow to hold the drawer.I should rate the fridge more highly. The rest of the fridge is great and the ability to change the temperatures via the control at the front is easy. The freezer is good and I love that I can control MyZone.I rate this fridge low because the frustration of dealing with this drawer EVERY SINGLE DAY and often multiple times a day, is a miserable experience. I would sell this fridge and buy another brand but I cannot afford it. I would not recommend this fridge unless they fixed this problem (You would seriously need to check the individual fridge with the drawer under weight to be sure, I'm not sure I would just trust someone's word that it had been done.).

In the first week, my wife purchased 4 different types of stinky cheese, and forgot managed to not properly close the lid of the container. The smell was horrible. I just hated it. Well, after she put the lid properly and left the door open a couple of times a little bit more than usual, the smell went away! For opening the door there is no "handle", but some symmetric "holes" to grab from on the sides. If one would mount this fridge in a tight space and the furniture would be level with the door, it would be hard to open it.I wished they would have allowed for more possibilities to adjust the spacing between the shelves. The storage space on the door side is more generous than I initially thought from the pictures. It works as advertised, no problems at all, but I can't make a proper judgement on reliability after only two months of use.Final remarks:Overall, I am pleased with this purchase and based on the above first impressions, I would not hesitate to buy this product again.

Good size and great features!
19 April 2020

Hi - I bought my fridge just before Corona lockdown. It was almost $80 cheaper buying through Appliances Online. All my local fridge places were struggling to get in any stock, as they all seem to be 'made in China'. I'm thoroughly happy with my fridge. It has a lot of space, is very attractive, and the vegie crisper is just at my waist height so I no longer have to bend down to get my vegies out! It also has a great chill zone drawer right below the vegie compartment. This chill zone is a few degrees colder than the rest of the fridge. You can adjust the temperature settings too. The delivery guys were very helpful, and doing a great job despite all the weird corona restrictions coming in a few weeks ago. Thank you Appliances Online. :)

Ive had this fridge a few weeks now and Im pretty hapoy with it. I bought this particular fridge because it had the facility for both doors to open on either side as I needed it to hinge on left. AOL did this (at an additional charge) before I received it so I didn't have to worry about how I was hoing to achieve this. The only down side to this fridge, in my opinion, is there isnt sufficient freezer space. I think the My Zone crisper should have been taken into the freezer. Having said this, the My Zone does come in handy when the whole family come for lunch. This, of course, is less often then I would use the extra freezer space. The freezer drawer system could use an overhaul however they use the space very efficiently. Hopeless product & customer service-Don't buy one!

This fridge came as a package of Haier appliances with our new MJ home. We were the first to use the fridge as it still had all the foam and tape packing in place. The fridge lasted less than six months. I am happy that they are covering it under warranty however we have waited 3 months so for this to be repaired. The first issue was a dodgy repair service company that basically left it up to us to deal with Haier regarding the supply of parts. After about 6 weeks Haier assigned another repair company to look at it. It's now 3 weeks later to be told that the fridges had a major design fault. I rang again this morning and there is no ETA on the supply of parts as they have to be re-designed.I have had to go and buy another fridge meanwhile and am so upset that I ... MoreThis fridge came as a package of Haier appliances with our new MJ home. Bought this fridge a couple of months ago. Nice slimline style not bulky, no handles that stick out to bump your head on. The fridge at top and freezer at the bottom, makes it very easy to access the food that you use most. Nice bright light which makes it easy to see what you want. The my zone area is very useful as you can adjust the temp independently to suit what you are storing. Myzone and freshbox compartments are a good size. Easy to use temperature controls in front of fridge.Only negative and why I didn’t give five stars is the fresh box, which you store vegetables in. It doesn’t slide in and out very smoothly, Need to make a conscious effort to use both hands. This needs to be addressed by the manufacturer and it really will be a five star fridge. Also option to change hinge side for doors. The shelves are great, tough, and easy to move and clean, and i like that the door shelves are the full length of the door rather than shorter ones you move around in other models - seems more storage available this way and plenty of room for taller bottles etc. The freezer drawers are smooth running and solid so packet corners won't fall through and jam like in a basket drawer. So much space - would certainly suit a family of 4!Despite other comments in reviews, i find this fridge very quiet - sure it makes a slight noise when it kicks in to do its thing but this is momentary, and overall you don't hear it at all!Very happy with this appliance and love the 'my zone' draw to have the option of a temp controlled space in the realm between fridge and freezer to chill things faster for example.Very happy with this choice and the service from the team at appliances online and Winnings delivery staff.

Surprised, happy - simple but effective
15 March 2019

We were forced to buy a new fridge when our old one (a Westinghouse) unexpectedly packed up. As such, I was trying to keep to a low price, and was prepared to be disappointed. After reading lots of reviews, we chose the Haier, mostly because its 4-star energy rating was the better than the other ones we considered, and because its fridge capacity was closest to our old and larger fridge. After several weeks, I'm hugely happy with the purchase. Even though this Haier is smaller than our old 500+L fridge, the simple arrangement of the internal shelves and the two huge drawers makes it more usable. I don't even notice the smaller space. The freezer likewise has three very functional drawers and though much smaller than our previous freezer, I haven't wanted for space. ... MoreWe were forced to buy a new fridge when our old one (a Westinghouse) unexpectedly packed up. I like that it doesn't have things like covered compartments on the fridge door, and integral ice trays in the freezer. Those were just space wasters for us.The construction feels seems good quality. The door shelves are a little thinner than in the old westinghouse, but I don't really care about that.I've since learned that Haier took over LG's fridge operations, and it has an LG feel about it in design. The doors are smooth white, but the body has a texture to the metal which i quite like. The front panel is easy to use. Overall, very happy.

Very Stylish and Well Designed.
24 May 2020

I have only had this fridge for a few weeks and I still can't get over how stylish it looks. The fridge itself is deep with loads of room for everything. It is set out well and I love the large crisper. Also love the large Myzone with the with the extra bit of shelving. The freezer freezes food very quickly and the top drawers are deep enough to store a lot of meals that I precook. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't been able to change the settings for the temperature of the fridge so far. I do love that the temperature for the fridge and freezer are shown on the door and also has the alarm when the fridge/freezer has been opened for a certain time. Now the grandchildren can't open the fridge and take forever to decide what they want.
