Hair Clippers Philips MG5940/15 5 V

I got this because my current trimmer would no longer charge. I was looking for a trimmer with multiple functions because we travel often and I like to pack light. The trimmer handle has a nice stainless design, you don't see that much anymore. It's comfortable to hold and feels solid in your hands. You can use it wet or dry, I don't tend to use mine in the shower but it's nice to have that option. Charging is quick and the usb cable is included. The blades are self sharpening, no oiling required. I haven't had it long enough for them to be dull. The most awesome part of this trimmer for me is the all the attachments. I have to say I have used almost all of the attachments and they work well. There is also a bag included but that would probably be my only complaint. It's a soft drawstring bag and a structured bag would have been nice, with the amount of attachments that were included. Overall, my favorite trimmer by far. Highly recommend this one.

When it arrived I was like a kid at xmas, took everything out and had a good gander at the instructions. You can trim, shave, shape literally every hair on your body with this thing. I've always wanted to try these out and they're brilliant. I hate manual razors so this was a godsend as I'd only been using clippers previously and a razor to trim away hair on my cheeks. I use the one blade instead of a razor and I will never go back.Overall this is an excellent product and with the one blade included this is an absolute no brainer, you get literally anything you could need for trimming the verge so to speak.I highly recommend this product, get this and you won't need anything else I promise you that.

Picked this up at Costco a few weeks ago as a back-up to my current Philips Series 5000 trimmer that I've had for 5-6 years. My only use for these trimmers is to trim my beard to as close to the skin as possible, ideally less than 1 mm. Since I'm nearly bald I don't use any of the other comb attachments. This Model MG9730 has some advantages as well as disadvantages over the older trimmer. On the plus side it's quieter and a bit smaller. It also comes with the replaceable trimmer heads which I haven't tried out yet. On the minus side, it simply doesn't trim as closely or neatly as the older model. I believe that's due to the type of comb attachment for trimming beards very short. The trimmer comes in a large box but it could easily have been packaged in a box about 1/4 the size. Enclosed is a photo of all the cardboard Philips is using to package this small trimmer. Doesn't make any sense and is a waste of resources.
