Okay yall, this is literally THE holy grail of hair masks, you will not find a better one. I absolutely love it. The Weightless Hydrating Mask seems to be the same base as the Color Depositing Mask, only without the color pigment. I have thick 2C/3A curly hair, and while this product is intended for fine hair, it was helpful as a hair mask. I use by getting in the shower, wash my hair, rinse, let it drip dry for a few minutes, then apply the mask. I leave it while I wash my body (usually applying a face mask as well), then come back to rinse it after I've finished scrubbing up. I would classify it as a light hydration. Extremely strong smell that lasts for days, and didn't find it to be all that hydrating. I'm writing this after I've used the entirety of the container, using the mask 1x a week. I used after shampooing, followed the instructions, and left this on for 7 minutes each time I used. After getting out of the shower I found that I needed to put moisture back into my hair still via a leave in conditioner or other styling cream, which was pretty disappointing. I didn't see any sort of improvement with my hair, but didn't feel any damage to it either. Just not really the best hair mask I've used--Amika is better for my thin, wavy, dry hair.
Love this stuff so much. Has the best scent that LASTS on your hair and doesn’t weigh my hair down like other masks do. Leaves my split ends and bleached hair feeling so hydrated but doesn’t leave make my (usually greasy scalp) greasy! It really is my new favorite product and lasts a while. My really long hair has a habit of getting all knotted up. I sprayed this leave in conditioner a couple times all over my hair and it instantly detangles my locks.
