I'm in my forties and I have tried practically every mens clay product available (at all price points) For short to medium textured hair this clay is the best. Others I like include Baxter's of California and Sumotech by Bumble Bumble. Seven potions is better because it's re-workable and natural all day/night. It holds up against humidity (Caribbean holidays) and it washes out with a single shampoo. Perfect product I hope never changes.

( I keep reading that people find the smell not so pleasant I think it smells absolutely fine and havnt even noticed it as a issue) I find it hard to find a good hair product, and that’s not ever when considering looking for one that’s vegan! Honestly it’s the best hair product I’ve ever used! It is the perfect Matt ( doesn’t look greesy at all!) leaving the perfect amount of separation and texture in your first time, making it so quick and easy to style! This is hands down the best product I’ve used vegan or non vegan it wins hands down (gosh this review doesn’t sound real I’m raving so much about it haha) , congrats seven potion, you’ve gained another loyal costumer!

Pro Tip: If you are a bearded gentleman, and your beard is a bit unruly, after applying the clay to your hair, do not wash your hands and go on to apply beard oil/bear balm to your beard, helps tame the curliest of beards.

Overall it's a very great product!It has a very high hold with little product used, an amazing but not overpowering smell, it's a great pre-styler, affordable, natural, vegan and organic! :DBut, it's unfortunate that it doesn't prevent your hair from reverting after you blowdry it straight; it'll get curly again once you go outside and the humidity kicks in.So my tip and improvement would be to add something to your hair products to make them water-resistant/humidity-proof (for instance with Polyquaternium-69, VP/VA Copolymer or PVP).These are unnatural (yet safe) chemicals, I know, but these would really make your products next-level! The greatest all-in-one hairproducts ever!Thank you!
As the title says... it has a good hold and matte texture. very subtle smell, very easy to apply, equally easy to rinse. I havbe short to medium long hair, and I can style it very easily with this clay.

Really top class product - I’m very fussy about hair clays and have tried loads, good hold and nice Matt finish. Ignore anyone complaining about the smell, it’s very neutral and has a light spice to it which I’ve had various compliments about, great product from a great brand!
I have finally found an amazing styling clay that works perfectly, looks great and natural, doesn't affect my over sensitive skin allergies and on top of all that...still has a nice aroma that is not over powering and is 100% NOT affecting said skin allergies...smells and looks fantastic and i need not worry about developing dry, itchy skin on my scalp or my hands.Well done to the people at Seven Potions you have made me a happy man and i do not need to search any longer for hair and beard products!The beard oils are also fantastic for all the same reasons as my above skin concerns...Thank you SP.

As a person who is allergic to pretty much every fragrance and chemical under the Aussie sun its very challenging to find a hair styling product that i can used without any consequence to my skins health and appearance. When i have even found something the hold and quality is usually rubbish. The product itself is decent, holds my hair well although makes it feel a bit stiff. However, the scents is so bad (a combination between air freshener and an old lady's perfume) that it renders the product unusable for me. Should have searched better for other reviews online which mentions this issue before purchasing.
