Hakushu Distillers Reserve Single Malt Japanese whisky from Suntory, this one from the Hakushu distillery, is stringing from the recent movement toward nonage statement whiskies from producers. Suntory's Hakushu Distillers Reserve combines young, lightly peated, and older, heavily peated malts rumored to be a minimum of eighteen years of age and matured in American oak casks. There's a flash of honey, cantaloupe, sapodilla, peaches, and dehydrated lemon peels at the end.
