This is a good watch for the price point, but your expectations need to be realistic. The bracelet leaves much to be desires as it is sharp on the edges and makes squeeky noises as you'd expect a cheap bracelet to do. Expect to trash the bracelet immediately to upgrade. The watch itself is where the magic is. Beautiful dial and great movement. Mine is running about +10 seconds per day out of the box. Hopefully it calms down, but if it doesn't, it's still well within the acceptable range. The lume is top notch.

The watch was a birthday gift for my husband. He mentioned that this is the watch he was liking to get. He was happy beautiful watch. He is enjoying it! He mentions the wonderful second hand sweep! I researched this watch with very little price variance however my purchase from Hamilton co. directly made it an educated experience.

Not your typical pilot watch.

Amazing product, I was looking for this for more than 4 years, until finally decided to buy it. Seller and shipping were fantastic. This is not the typical Pilots watch, it's a modern interpretation of the B type watch, with the addition of a date full day display windows (complication). I think if you are looking for this watch you already know it was featured in the Interstellar movie. Size is good for my 6 1/2 inch or 16.5cm wrist. The bracelet can be worn a little bit smaller, I believe 5 1/2 inch at minimum and 8 Inch at max. Details are amazing for the price range, the movement is undecorated and very utilitarian but at least you can see it through the glass display case. The only drawback is the poor o lack of anti-reflective coating on the sapphire glass and ... MoreAmazing product, I was looking for this for more than 4 years, until finally decided to buy it. I spent a lot of time looking online for a new sub ÂŁ1k watch and as soon as I came across this stunner, I knew it was the one for me. I checked out the reviews on youtube and then searched for the best price, which happened to be on the First Class Watches website. When it arrived within 2 days thanks to First Class Watches superb and efficient service, I was not at all disappointed in any way. It is an aesthetically pleasing solid high quality piece which I think is well above its very reasonable price tag when compared to other expensive watch brands Ive owned. A superb watch for a superb price on a superb website with superb service.

The Hamilton "Coop" as worn by Cooper in the movie Interstellar is a fantastic watch for the money. The build quality is outstanding and the newer versions of this model have an upgraded automatic movement giving a huge 80 hours of power reserve. It is very comfortable to wear and the 42mm size is spot on for a watch done in the pilot style that is designed for everyday use. Elsewhere the watch has a sapphire crystal for the glass and an open exhibition case-back. The dial is well laid out and easily legible while the hands are cleverly skeletonised to add to the legibility whatever time it is. There is a day date complication with the day at 12 o clock and the date at 6 o clock. the bracelet is stainless steel and fastened with a twin button clasp. There are multiple options for micro adjustment meaning finding the right fit should be easy.Overall an excellent watch which could easily be the one watch of a one watch collection.

Although quite large at 42mm, this well-made watch does not look too big as the dial makes up about 80% of the case. This also makes it very easy to read. The watch is very comfortable to wear, the strap being solid and easily adjustable to fit any size wrist. It is eye-catching especially outdoors with sunlight reflecting on number indices on the watch face. I really like it and am extremely pleased with the service from this online retailer. Ordered late Friday, arrived Sunday with free postage could not ask for more.L

Review of Gent's Khaki Aviation Pilot Day-Date Auto Watch

The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Piolet watch, otherwise known as the 'Coop' watch due to its association with the film Interstellar, is a lovely looking type B flieger style watch. The build is very nice and even though it is a 42mm case. the 48 lug to lug, it fits my average size wrist perfectly. In the daylight the dial is easy to read, with the raised numbers catching the light. In shadow, though it is a little harder to read. The lume is not the best but good enough but it should be noted that the numbers don't light up.Overall the face is very nice. Not sure if I am a fan of the different types of writing on the face but that is me being picky. The day/date being at the 12 and 6 o'clock makes the face look very neat.Setting the watch up is easy, taking about a minute to change the day/date/time if you know what you are doing. The H40 movement gives a 80 hour power reserve is good, but this is achieved by slowing the movement to 21.600 beat rate, means that the second hand doesn't run smoothly but again it isn't a big issue. The strap is very nice, doesn't feel cheap, pretty easy to change if you know what you are doing (I had to remove 3 links for my 7 1/4 wrist and slight change the distance in clasp). It has 100m water resistance but I don't expect I will ever go swimming with it. It has sapphire crystal watch face, I would guess it doesn't have any coatings to stop reflection but I wouldn't know for sure but it does reflect the light light from a window at a certain angle.Overall, I must admit to loving this watch. I like a watch with a larger face and this fits the ticket perfectly. Would recommend to anyone, who wants a nice not over the top looking watch, which doesn't get into silly money territory.

battery dead....twice
26 February 2021

I ordered this watch to give to my husband on our wedding day. We needed to pay to get the links taken out, since our local Nordstrom wasn’t able to size. The day after the wedding, the watch stopped working. We assume the battery died. Nordstrom was good about letting us exchange for a new watch, but it was still a bummer he no longer had the watch he wore when we got married. Anyway, after the new watch arrived, it stopped keeping time 3 hours after opening it. I would hope after spending this much on a watch it wouldn’t need the battery replaced within the first 24 hours, but sadly it looks like that’s the case, since it’s now happened twice. Or it simply just doesn’t work. I guess I’ll just let him pick out a different brand so we don’t have to deal with this.
