Handbag XL Le Pliage Energy Black Longchamp

I have the blue and the black one but not the red, they do not have those colors up for me to review. These are my everyday go to bag. Fits so much great for on the go when you are running out the door. I have had mine for almost least 8 years or more? They still look new. This material is coated so it last longer then the original and also a less noisy material. It is very handy, comes with the removable carrying straps, makes it great for everyday and travel. Only wish it was more structured. I actually reinforce the bottom myself by cutting out thick presentation board paper the ones you get at the dollars store. I just line my bag bottom with it, it works wonders in keeping the bag in shape. Adore this

At first I thought that this bag would be too small. But after filling it with my daily essentials and still having leftover room, I was convinced. It’s the perfect on the go bag for when you don’t need a larger handbag. I was lucky to get both taupe and black. Was going to return one, after seeing them in person, however that isn’t going to happen. About the quality…this feels like the same quality of my other neo Le pliage bags. The crossbody strap IS a little more of a stiff leather, however it doesn’t bother me in the least or cut into shoulder when wearing. I can fit a small wallet, card case, zip pouch with Kleenex, feminine items, multiple lippies and small pill box, keys with fob on a decorative chain, 2 oz hand sanitizer, reading glasses in sleeve and my ... MoreAt first I thought that this bag would be too small. Gunmetal color is stunning

The Large Le Pliage Tote is very roomy and the gunmetal color is stunning. It’s a beautiful mix of gray and blue that I feel will be appropriate in any season. The tote itself is quite roomy and holds all of my daily essentials and I’m a Mary Poppins type of girl. The Large Le Pliage Tote is made of a lightweight material so even when it’s stuffed it still doesn’t feel heavy. There is a large slip pocket on the back wall of the tote which I use to keep my phone in and store antibacterial wipes and extra masks (just incase a facility is still requiring them). The small slip pocket on the front wall is a perfect place for my keys. No more digging around when I need them. The rest of the bag is one large open space lined in the same color. This is my second The Large Le Pliage Tote. I have one in red as well. You can’t go wrong with either color.The Large Le Pliage Tote tote folds up very easily for storage. The handles are a little stiff at first but do soften and they do not dig into your shoulders. You can keep the tote on your shoulder with one strap while you grab your wallet at checkout with the tote open and the other strap off your shoulder. The only con is the leather flap does get in the way of the zipper at first but once you use the bag frequently, you’ll get a “system” and it won’t be as noticeable. The tabs on either side of the tote are handy for zipping and unzipping.Side note—I ordered the Large Le Pliage Tote in gunmetal about a month ago but my order ended up getting cancelled due to unavailability. I was told by customer service that I could place another order and they’d credit my account for the discount code I had used with that order. True to their word once the second order shipped, I was issued a credit. Nordstrom and Nordstromrack have excellent customer service.

Handy little bag !

I picked this up during the NSale and am so glad I did before it sold out. I don't have a ton of experience with Longchamp (other than a large Le Pliage that I also own and have had for a few months now). But what I can tell you is that this is a great little bag. I live in FL and it's been raining and I love that it's water resistant. It's a good piece that holds all your essentials for errand-running, shopping etc.. I own many designer bags from all the big designers in leather and etc . But there are times when you don't want to carry a super recognized logo'd bag; you just want low key and this bag is perfect for that. Now that "quiet luxury" is in, I'd say this bag is the definition of that. The quality seems decent. Holes in the corners

I can't understand why no reviews of the Le Pliage talk about the holes in the corners that develope in these bags. I have both the small and the medium and they both have holes in the corners of the bottom of the bags. I am so disappointed. I loved both of my le Pliage bags at first. The tote for work and the small. I really like the brown and black combination. They both can hold a lot more than they look like. They are light and easy to carry. But they both have holes in the corners that make them look beat up that started after a short time. The corners fray where the holes develope. The point of these bags are that they look classy and are practical. Then this happens. They have been making them for years it's not like they don't know this happens.

Overrated bag

This was my second Longchamp tote bag. Both had tiny holes on the bottoms of the bag where stitches end after I used it only 1-2 months. Nordstrom replaced the first one but the replacement one started having tiny holes at the end of bottom stitches in 6 months too. I also purchased one as a Xmas gift for a good friend. She said she had the same issue too. When I contacted Longchamp via email they said it was due to wear and tear and they did not warranty this. A good brand and expensive bag should not be worn like this in such a short period of time. I have similar style LaCoste brand tote bag. After 3 years it still looks like brand name without any sign of wear and tear. LaCoste totes are 100 times better than LongChamp totes. I will never purchase LongChamp brand

Pleasantly Surprised!

This is not quite like the other Le Pilage Longchamp totes. It is a beautiful shade of red inside and out. After receiving the bag and wondering about the differences I found that it is a discontinued model. It would have helped if Nordstrom Rack provided a better description and more pictures. On another sellers site I learned it is called the "Le Pliage Neo." The zipper is wide toothed and this model is not designed to fold up as much as the other Le Pilage bags, but it will fold flat for storage. For me it was the smaller size that I wanted, not as large as the current medium size bags. What I would love is another bag closer in size to the current Le Pilage handbags that are priced at $125 retail, but with the longer handles to be worn on the shoulder. Plenty big!

I love Longchamp. I have their handbags, some makeup cases, a couple travel bags, and some SLGs. It's safe to say I'm a fan. This bag is wonderful. It's set up just like the other Le Pilage line bags (One huge open black hole, with a small pocket for your phone, gum, etc). However, it also suffers from the same issues. If you thought your items were hard to find in the smaller sized LP bags because it's a big black hole.. It's magnified in this bag. You Need pouches, or packing cubes, or folders, or something to keep your stuff together. Second, it also suffers from "saggy booty". If you put a lot of items inside, the bottom takes the weight and sinks down. Maybe I'm being fussy but it's not the cutest look. Yes, Does it hold everything you need and more? Absolutely It's just not structured enough to keep itself upright.

It looks fine, but the leather quality is not the same. Very stiff. Seams on handles and straps are scratchy, rough, and jaggedy. My older neo had softer leather and glazing. The nylon material and hardware are the same. Under flap is usually has a softer suede like texture, but it’s stiff, flat, and cheap feeling. The long strap is very stiff and not what you would expect from Longchamp. Instead of just comparing to my older Longchamps, I looked at the other bags Nordstrom had in stock and the quality was better. Even the energy line was much nicer. The city bag had non-glazed stiffer handles, but not as bad as the xs neo. I would rather pay more than be sold an inferior product for the sale.
