Oh gosh where to start! This bucket is just outstanding. It’s above its game in everything else. The 20 litre size is almost to much! Nothing I can not fit in these buckets. Perfectly sized and a lovely colour white. To top it off it’s aluminium handle is far superior to any other bucket I’ve used before! Would highly recommend this bucket to everyone!!!

Great product, easy to use. Really good airtight seal, but you need to be able to apply a bit of strength through the fingers to get it to seal. The single use tab, which you need to break away in order to open seems like a good idea, but ends up being a bit useless, but it does give you a great spot to focus on when you're sealing/opening the pail. Fully watertight and airtight, just what I was after

The lid does seal - very well. But can't be removed easily.- Place pale on stable ground.- Put body weight onto centre of lid (I use my fist).- Pull on edges firmly with fingers.Weight on centre of lid makes all the difference. Hope this helps someone...

Bought this pail yesterday. It had its lid on tight when . Spent about an hour this morning trying to get the lid off. Eventually had to go back and buy a Trojan pail opener (paint section at Bunnings) for $5.60 to get it off. Certainly is water tight. And kid-proof. And almost adult-proof. But very good quality.
A lot sturdier than I thought it would be! Can carry some pretty significant weight without bending or breaking! Full to the brim with 400g tins of food, and no issues with damage to the bucket. EXCELLENT!
I have 3 of these, purchased in Sept/Oct 2009. 1.Used for storing dynamic lifter, 2.seed and cutting mix, 3.veggie scraps (compost). The buckets are still like new! (located in partial shade). Only 1 of them (veggie scraps), which is in full sun since 2009, the lid has started to degrade in last 6months.Lids still seal fine, even the one that has started to degrade recently. Pretty good imo for 13 years!
The lid seal is quite good, you need to push down hard for it to snap seal, however its really difficult removing the lid. The seal is so tight and the plastic so thin that the lid splits around the sealing rim as you pull the lip of the lid up. The feel like they are designed for single use due to this.
I purchased 4 of these today, they seal reasonably easy, taking the lid off again is extremely difficult, especially if you are a older person and your finger strength has dropped off.Taking off the lid pushing in the middle of the lid and pulling up the side of the lid can split the lid.I'll keep one but I'll be returning the other 3
I bought 3 for storing dry dog food safe from rodents and insects. Unfortunately, the lids do not seal at all. I even went back to the store to check I had taken the correct lids. I tested both the lids I had bought and ones on the shelf. None seal. So I bought electrical tape to build up the rim on the pail. The lids are no longer loose but they're not tight. Perhaps this was a bad batch. However, I checked the smaller size pails on the shelf and found the same problem. If need lids that seal (especially for liquid or food), I recommend you check before you leave the store.
Fantastic tub for our purpose - cane toad collection buckets. Drill plenty of holes for air, sturdy and doesn’t tip easily. Lid is tight fitting. Definitely preferred size for this purpose.Please note I do not euthanise toads, they are delivered to a local environment group.
