Cheap Is Cheap
I'm not sure I could be more disappointed with this purchase. If one thing should be made right and feel right, it's underwear. This product just blows it.Coming out of the package, the items looked OK, generous cut, decent fabric, all that stuff. But after washing them (yes, you should wash your underwear before wearing them) I began to see some of the pairs begin to show unraveling threads. Then after a couple of more washings, I saw a LOT of loose threads, the boxers streatched out, and not in a good way, and a couple of the colors began to get so threadbare that I could almost see through them. We're talking about items I bought TWO MONTHS AGO.I've been following all the washing and drying directaions, and I've never had a garment of any kind begin to ... I'm about to throw out ten pairs of two month old underwear because it's just awful. Last time I let myself get sucked in by the constant barrage of email sales and offers from Hanes.... Show more

Don't buy unless you like a rope top
My old "Covington" brand of boxer briefs were showing wear, so I shopped to replace them. Could not find that brand, so I bought four 5 packs of Hanes. My waist is around 37 inches so since the large Hanes were 36 to 38, they were the size I needed. Unfortunately, I tossed out my old briefs, along with the receipt for the Hanes. From day one, the Hanes waist band rolls into an uncomfortable "cord". These Hanes Ultimate boxers are anything but comfortable to wear.... Show more

Good, comfortable boxers. Good price.
Good, comfortable boxers. The waistband, while properly snug, is a little stiff. I haven't washed these boxers, yet, so that stiffness in the waistbands may soften. The material is very soft against my skin. These are the first set of Hanes knit boxers I've purchased. The five pack is a good value. I would like to see these in more colors / patterns than these 5. I could easily see myself buying many more, but I do not want to stock up on the same 5 designs.... Show more

Good fit, bad colors
A couple of years ago I wrote a review about this product. I wrote that the fit was great (and still is great) and that the material was comfortable, but some of the colors were awful. Over the last few months I have purchased 2-3 5-packs of this product. The fit is still good, but a couple of the colors are still bad. The green/black and blue/black horizontal stripes are a little hard on the eyes. Even my wife was shocked. Also the material on these colors are too thin and won't last long. The solids are still a great fit and the material is good. My hope, as was in my last review, is that Hanes sticks with solid colors a good material. Striped underwear is not for me................ Knit boxers
I had originally purchased the Hanes Ultimate® Comfort Flex Fit® Stretch Knit Boxers 3-Pack. But, when they came They were not what I expected. I really wanted the knit boxers. Evan though I was also looking for a covered waist band, the waist band that Hanes is using will work. Most waist bands Chaffee and pinch and leave marks. The waistband used on these boxers seems to be ok.... Show more

Material Description needs updating
The description says 100% cotton. I received 5 total underwear. 2 solid color at 100% cotton. 1 heather gray at 75% cotton 25% polyester. 2 striped at 58% cotton 42% polyester. Please try and minimize the use of polyester as it does not breakdown as easily as cotton and microparticals from polyester can build up and cause health problems. I hope in the future to buy a full pack of solid color 100% cotton underwear with the exposed waste band that are about an inch shorter as the edge length of boxer is about 15 inches. Very thin material which I like for light weight.... Show more

Nice but not so nice
These would have worked out for me if the waist band wasn't so snug. I like a hardly notice it's there waist band but you definitely feel the squeeze in these. I usually get Fruit of the Loom but because the seam in those are like a saw I decided to try Hanes. The seam in Hanes is quite soft but like I said before the waist band is a bit too snug. So I'm still trying to find that perfect comfort brief. Maybe if I order a size larger the waist will be just right or perhaps way too loose. Who knows. Or then again maybe the briefs will be super baggy if I change up. The size I purchased fits very well everywhere except that waistband. Bummer.... Show more

Not exact product pictured but still fine.
Ive been wearing these boxers for a long time and I can usually find them in store. They didn't have them this time so I ordered online. It looks like Hanes changed their comfort flex boxers because the label on the inside is the same but the product is a little different. Its obvious right away that the boxers that shipped are not the same as the ones in the picture, the ones I'm used to. Anyway, they are fine. The waistband is actually a little bit more comfortable that the old version. They are a tiny bit shorter, which I don't like, but it isn't distracting. If you are looking to replace your old comfort flex with an exact pair, this will not work. But if you want a comfortable pair of tagless boxers of average Hanes quality, these will be fine.... Poor quality product with an increased price tag.
Wouldn’t purchase these boxers again. Poor quality, stitching came undone after 1st wash. Waste band very uncomfortable. Fabric shrunk after 2nd washer/dryer cleaning. Hanes use to make quality boxers, not any more. Hanes increased the price and decreased the quality.... Show more

Tried and didn't like it
They are ok. They are hot and not as comfortable as other brands available. Also not as soft as expected. If you were cheaper styles of this brand then this will feel better, then the cheap pack, but honestly theres softer and more breathable boxers then these.... Show more
