Perfect fit and comfortable underwear. Comfort is and should always be a top priority when picking out underwear. These are so comfortable that you won’t go to any other brand after wearing. They are also strong and durable. They don’t stretch out and stay stretched out, which is always a plus when looking for boxer briefs. The durability is also top notch and that is coming from someone with thunder thighs who usually gets holes on the inner thigh from constant friction.

I am a reviewer for Hanes, and I received a free package of 6 Hanes Comfort Flex Mens Tagless Boxer Briefs in size large to review. The briefs come individually rolled up and sealed in a plastic bag. Three of the boxer briefs are black in color and they are 100% cotton. The other three are a heathered gray color and are made of 75% cotton and 25% polyester. The briefs are soft to the touch and have a wider waist band that is almost 1 ¼” wide. The legs of the briefs are 4” from the crotch area. The material weight is between medium and light. It is enough to know you have the briefs on, but not heavy feeling. The cotton is nice because it allows the briefs to breath which feels nice on your skin. I decided that for me to review these briefs, I would wear a pair all day and my husband would wear another pair all day and we would compare notes. We agreed on the following: The briefs are soft and comfortable to wear. There is no tag so there was no irritation from having a tag. The wider waist band sits comfortably and moves with you. There is no rolling of the waistband, so the briefs stay in place. The 4” leg is nice, they do not climb up and they feel comfortable with whatever pants you are wearing. (I wore tighter jeans and my husband wore khakis to work.) Since the weight of the briefs is not heavy there was no lines showing through our pants. There is plenty of room in the seat area and there is no riding up of the briefs. My husband stated that the are where his parts sit is just right. It is not tight, but also not baggy or hanging and the slot opening is comfortable to use and does not hang open. I washed the briefs in cool water and dried them on low, which is what I always do, and the briefs kept their shape with no shrinkage. Overall both my husband and I are very pleased with these briefs.

I have worn Hanes Boxers for most of my life (40+ years). They have always been well made. I appreciate that they have them in my size, and that they increased the quantity in the package. I really like the "gray" variant over the "black" variant. The grey fabric is softer and breathes better than the black. That is not to say that the black doesn't perform well. It does. The gray just seems to be a little more flexible.I will always be loyal to Hanes provided they continue to keep the quality the same. Quality over cost. I appreciate the great price too! I highly recommend these for us guys who for whatever reason, are larger than most.

The fabric feels soft and comfortable. However, the elastic around the thigh have become loose after just a couple of washes. By couple I mean just 2 trips to the washing machine and never been dried with "Hot" setting in the dryer. I don't know how durable this item is going to be. It's hard to believe that these cost so much. The cost should only be half the listed/paid price.Note that if you buy the non-solid briefs package, the grey briefs are not 100% cotton; I didn't catch this in the product description on the web-site. Although, it didn't matter because they're still mostly cotton with just a little bit of synthetic fabric.
Poor quality control. Out of the 10 in the pack only about 4 fit normally. The others either are too tight in the legs or seem to be a size down. The waist bands are all right but its the rest of the briefs that are wildly inconsistent. I've worn Hanes for years and have been satisfied but the last two packs I've ordered have had so much variation I feel their quality control has slipped significantly.I probably won't be buying any more from Hanes in the future.
These briefs were the worst disappointment I've ever experienced. I have purchased Hanes underware for many years and was very satisfied with them. Hanes has now given in to greed. These briefs are only half as thick as they have been in the past. This means that if I continue to buy Hanes I will have to buy more much sooner than normal because they are about as thick as a piece of paper. The only thing this underware is good for is to give them away at a homeless shelter. This is a shameless money grab and I will never buy Hanes underware again. This is Hanes loss and a more reputable company's gain.
Several years ago these boxers were a much nicer product. The leg hem was wider, the leg elastic more flexible, and the cloth much softer. The last time I purchased these, maybe four years ago, I returned them, as the fabric was actually quite coarse, an odd change for something called "comfort soft." I took a chance and bought another six-pack of them. This time the fabric is much nicer, the legs slightly longer (which is good), and I'll be keeping them. (The leg elastic is still too tight...)When companies take an essentially perfect product and destroy it by degrees, in order to make a few more cents of profit per unit, it drives me nuts. Anybody listening?
After PR ostectomy surgery I bought the Boxer Briefs for comfort and needed support. The first package of 5 fit well and prompted me to purchase more packages. I bought 2 other packs of 10. Well some of the pairs just didn't fit the same as the original. Further investigation the pairs made in Viet Nam were a lesser size than marked. Not the package size of XL. Fit was tighter and shorter in length. Needless to say after several months the original pairs started unraveling in the band line stitching. But, they fit nicely. Made in Bangladesh. Very disappointed in all >25 pairs that I have purchased. Buyer beware. QUALITY assurance is no longer a Hanes asset.
When my husband put these on the waist band was up past his belly button. They are designed like control top women's underwear. I opened the pack and washed them thinking they might shrink a little but they did not. So now stuck with weird underwear that no one is going to wear. Thank goodness I bought him some sports briefs too, they are great. These should be labeled high cut boxer briefs.
I bought these assorted blues and a pack on long leg briefs for my husband in a large, the size he has ALWAYS worn from Hanes only to receive them and they be a 36-38. My husband wears a 34! Hanes’ larges used to be a size 32-34 now they are a 36-38 and the mediums are a 32-34. Waste of money and now I have to reorder them because we opened the packs and he’s worn one out of each pack before he realized they were too big. So irritating cause I waited over a week for these to arrive and We’ve always purchased larges and my husband ONLY wears Hanes for his under garments. All of our previous purchased larges from Hanes are 32-34 . I’m livid. Only giving two stars because we love the underwear but they shouldn’t have changed what has always been.
