As an educator who works with children from ages three through 12, I was impressed with how well and thoughtfully this kit was created and even packaged. I really appreciate it the appropriate sized Ziploc bags for the assorted parts so that they can be kept from getting lost. I got this for a three and a half -year-old, so of course she needed lots of help but she absolutely loved it. I do agree that it is more appropriate for ages five and up. However even with younger ages, a great activity to do with a grandparent or parent. I’ve already bought another one for my five-year-old grandson and can’t wait to see him to give it to him. I can hardly wait for my granddaughter to be old enough for me to get an additional one for her.

I cannot rate this item at this time. I have not opened the box. It is a holiday gift. Also, I am still not in receipt of my entire order and it has already been 20 days since initial order was placed. Terrible service.
My grandson and I enjoyed doing the first experiment. I'm hoping his other grandparents have helped him to the others. Nice carry case and set all in one.
The gears, bolts, nuts and pulleys in the toolbox are interesting for pre-schoolers
