Ceramic Coffee Dripper Hario V60-02 is a cone-style filter with a vortex radial drain pattern and an open end. The cone shaped paper filters help extend water and coffee contact time, because the water flows towards the centre. You can prepare two cups of coffee at once. This manual brewing method gives you the complete control over brewing time and temperature, so your coffee is brewed just the way you like it. A large hole at the bottom of the cone allows coffee to flow freely, so you can customize flavour and strength simply by adjusting the speed at which you pour hot water (pour rather quickly for lighter coffee or slowly for a darker brew). Use of ceramic Coffee Dripper "Hario V60-02". To prepare 320 ml of coffee: 1. Pre-heat both paper and ceramic filters with hot water.2. Pour out water. This will help minimize that paper-like aftertaste. 3. Add freshly ground coffee (20 g) into the paper filter (generally, a medium-fine grind should be used).4. Pre-infuse the grounds with 50 ml of water — the entire surface should be wet. Wait for around 10 seconds.5. Start by pouring the rest of water into the centre and then continue in a circular motion going upwards, follow the conical shape. This should be a slow pour. 6. After pouring the remaining water, wait until there is no water on the coffee surface and enjoy well prepared coffee.

For some reason I thought the kettle would arrive smaller. Its capacity states 500ml but can contain a over this stated amount - about 550ml (at the risk of spilling from its open top). For my first goose neck it pours very smoothly, and the initial concerns I had regarding thermal loss seem to be overstated. A great little affordable kettle.

Directions are horrible

I reviewed this product earlier in the week and verified I was the purchaser, but the review has never been posted. I bought this for use at work. The directions are very limited. I am a fairly intelligent person, but had to look up 3 videos on line to figure this thing out. I have not used it yet- just going to send it back as it is clearly intended for someone who already understands how to use the product. So hopefully, my review will be posted, so others will not make the same mistake. Bummer. I really wanted to use this.

Hario world renowned for their coffee brewing tools, and the V60 dripper is their most recognizable of these tool. This stylish edition of the V60 comes with instructions you need to make the perfect cup of coffee, every time! From grind settings, to water temperature and pour measurements and intervals for light to dark roasts, you can't go wrong, especially when paired with one of Bones' bags of beans or grounds. Personally, I've been brewing the Maple Bacon whole bean, grinding it to the coarser setting and followed the V60 leaflet instructions. Perfecto!

Great product
23 February 2023

I truly loved my Hario Ceramic Dripper. I am a coffee lover and so far I found this dripper the best way to make my pour over coffee. I also bought a Hario unbleached paper filter and found it to deliver a delicious and flavourful coffee. Alternative Brewing carries great products, with the best prices and excellent service.

Great, inexpensive and space-saving entry in to gooseneck pouring
28 July 2022

I love the idea of a gooseneck for pour control, but I really didn’t need another kettle. This fits that gap perfectly. It’s quite small, but I just top it up as needed between pours. Looks great too!

Perfect for a Dive into the 4:6 Method!
18 October 2020

If you find your pour over ritual turning monotonous, this dripper will push you to take a totally new approach -- Tetsu Kasuya's 4:6 method. The method is definitely "high risk, high reward".The 4:6 method results in a cup that combines the delicate tasting notes of a typical pour over with a mouth feel of a clean french press. The method uses coarsely ground coffee and breaks the pours up into 5 pours: two pours using 40% of your water for sweetness and acidity, then three using 60% of your water for strength and body.To make the most of this dripper, I've been grinding someplace "coarser than medium coarse but not coarse". Since the dripper slows down the extraction, I've found it useful to use the fastest paper I can. My logic is that the coarser grind size and slower dripper slow everything down, and if I don't use a fast paper, my last pours will go through the filter too slowly and likely to over extract. This might not be the case if you are using a very high quality grinder. In my case, fines from the grinder might be what is causing the end of the extraction to slow down (I'm using an Encore). This is definitely a fun method to experiment with, and I've found it as enjoyable as using a whole new pour over method!

So bummed
3 December 2019

I was REALLY looking forward to using this to make myself individual cups of coffee. I ordered it along with the Holiday Sample pack. The directions for use - or lack of directions-are ridiculous! I am a fairly intelligent person but these directions are clearly written for someone who has used this product before. Ugh. I just hope I can return this thing.

Superior quality filter/dripper
8 February 2023

Excellent high quality brewer. The ceramic version I find takes a little extra to preheat than the plastic or glass versions, but the superior quality will mean it lasts a generation

The best Harrio out there
28 October 2022

If you’re thinking about which Harrio to get, I highly recommend the copper. The heat retention is better than plastic or glass, and it works beautifully! Great product overall. I’ve paired mine with the Olive Wood Coffee Server and it looks great.

great addition
25 November 2020

I've been looking for a ceramic V60 for a bit now. It was sold out pretty much everywhere.I even asked my local roaster (litteraly a five minute walk from my house... always picking up fresh roasted beans... we know each other pretty well now!) if he had contacts and could find one somewhere. But no luck there either. On my weekly visit on eight ounce coffee visit, I fell on this black V60 and was stocked about it; I love the aesthetic of dark things and so it matches the rest of my kit. It's working great. Brews are consistant. Love it.P.S.:I'll also be plugging that local roaster I'm talking about : Brown Bag Coffee Roaster; check him out, Shann is amazing!
