I love this range server! I own the 03 server. The beehive glass looks amazing! Technically you do not "need" one to brew a v60, but the functionality of the server out weighs the "not needing it." Using the server alows you to brew the optimal coffee groud to water ratio, I use 27g of coffee with 415g of water. Thus, you can stay true to the process without modifying the parameters just to fit into your typical 8-10 ounce mug. You can pour however much coffee you want into your mug and once you have more room pour the rest of the coffee into the mug. Unless you have 16 ounce or larger mugs then just pour it all! Plus you can watch the coffee brew and drip and take sick pics. If you are only brewing for yourself, then the 02 will be the best option. If you are ... MoreI love this range server! If you are brewing for 2 or more people, I brew for my wife and I, then spend the extra couple dollars and you will be glad you did!

I'm the only weird coffee person in the house, usually my v60 goes straight into a cup. But this is a great solution for guests. It is a beautiful piece and pours fantastically (no frustrating dribbles to speak of). It is also deceptively compact for the amount it holds, achieved with a wide base. It does feel delicate, so probably worth taking care where you keep it.

Our V60 is one of our favourite brew methods in summer - we use it for hot and cold coffee. It's also handy when there's load-shedding... We use the clear plastic dripper on top and are very grateful that it's plastic... let's just say we've dropped it a few times. The Japanese know how to make beautiful and functional products!

I really loved this server, the blown glass is awesome. The lid is very difficult to get in cold but as soon as you brew coffee in it the silicone slips in nicely, mist expand a bit or the steam helps the lid fit in. I managed to crack the top when the lid slipped out of my hands washing up, didn’t take much and will need to buy another. I’m wondering if I managed to weaken it by using the ceramic 02 Dripper on top but maybe not. Might stick to plastic now to be more careful.
So easy to use with the Hario filter. Enables me to split the filtered coffee. So I use one portion for hot coffee earlier in day. Then, with the good seal in lid, you can store the remainder of the liquid in the fridge and later in the day, drink cold coffee. So easy to use as the glass tolerates both hot and cold liquids. Looks good too as a serving vessel on the table.
I usually make a single serve pour over directly into my opaque coffee cup. However, when I have time I like to use the server as it is good to see the coffee dripping into the server. Because of its shape, the server itself is very stable and something about the quality of the glass seems to enhance the appearance of the coffee. Turns an ordinary cup of coffee into an event. The server was collected directly from the warehouse and the people I dealt with were very efficient and pleasant. A great experience.
I’ve been using this with my new medium Origami Dripper. I love it. It is the right size for brewing for one person. I have brewed tea in it too. I think I will order more, and I will use them to make different teas in advance. I live in Alabama and we drink our tea on ice. I like the Tazo Wild Sweet Orange. Then add fresh squeeze of orange, lemon or lime…. Whatever you got. And add sweetener if you like, or not. This container looks cool. Get you one, or five!
Is big enough for two brews, kinda. Depends how much swirling you do before you pour. I'm a swirler and I brew 255ml. I'll say this though, you can swirl the **** outta this thing and not a drop comes out because of it's conical shape. Looks killer aswell. If you're a one cup brewer this is perfect, anything more get the next size up
This new jug has a narrower top than the one I bought last year (and dropped). It has a heavier base and seems more solid. Importantly, it now has a lid that actually fits and does not prevent complete emptying of the jug. The lid still isn't quite right, it is difficult to pour with it in place. One star off for that. Better to pour, then use the lid if there is any coffee left you want to keep hot. Be aware it's quite small, but that is fine for people who don't need a big jug. It's good to have an alternative. It can still serve 4-5.
