Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by J. K. Rowling
JK Rowling is the author of the enduringly popular Harry Potter series, as well as several standalone novels and a bestselling crime fiction series. After the idea for Harry Potter came to her on a delayed train journey in 1990, she plotted out and started writing the series of seven books and the first, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was published in the UK in 1997. The series took another ten years to complete, concluding in 2007 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Smash hit movie adaptations followed. The Harry Potter books have now sold over 600 million copies worldwide in 85 languages and been listened to as audiobooks for over one billion hours. To accompany the series, JK Rowling wrote three short companion volumes for charity: Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, in aid of Comic Relief and Lumos, and The Tales of Beedle the Bard, in aid of Lumos. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them went on to inspire a new series of films featuring Magizoologist Newt Scamander. Harry's story as a grownup was continued in a stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which JK Rowling wrote with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany, and which is now playing in multiple locations around the world. In 2020, she returned to publishing for younger children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, the royalties from which she donated to her charitable trust, Volant, to help charities working to alleviate the social effects of the COVID19 pandemic. Her latest children's novel, The Christmas Pig, was published in 2021. JK Rowling has received many awards and honours for her writing, including the OBE and Companion of Honour, the Hans Christian Andersen Award and a Blue Peter Gold Badge. She supports a wide number of humanitarian causes through Volant, and is the founder of the international children's care reform charity Lumos. JK Rowling lives in Scotland with her family.

I’m overjoyed I waited a while before I bought new versions of HP books. These Minalima illustrated ones are absolutely beautiful. Holding one and seeing the pages for the first time is exhilarating. Brought me back to my childhood but at the same time, gave me an absolutely new experience. Definitely a must-buy for a fan! Collection worthy! Fullybooked packaged the book so well and the condition was perfect! No dents or damages!Only downside was the delivery person. He was very very rude. Put down the phone on me while I was giving instructions on directions, was not listening and following very obvious signages. Planning to report him to Shopee.

I read these books as they came out as a kid. I reread them as an adult, and they still hold up. Book Two expands the world, including providing important history on Hogwarts and the magical community. Harry, now in his second year, is warned that bad things are happening at Hogwarts. Harry must work with his friends to figure out who is terrorizing students with Muggle parents (literally committing hate crimes) before more violence ensues. The pace is past and the world is intriguing. If you are coming to this series for the first time, especially if you are introducing this series to a young person, I recommend reading up on JK Rowling’s transphobia and issues with the series in terms of stereotypes, lack of diversity, and the handling of minority groups with the ... MoreI read these books as they came out as a kid. very addictive and fantastic! Love this Harry Potter series great plot development, character death . build your imagination . it's magical! great emotional impact and you can't put the book down. fast paced and thrilling!
I love these harry Potter series and this book was actually my turning point in reading not that I did not read before that but I was attracted to series and trilogy after reading this I’m excited to give this set to our neighbor and classmates for them to enjoy and return. I have been wanting to read the whole series for a while and I am very pleased with the quality of this paperback set for the price. I expected mass market paperback quality considering it was priced apt.Always one of my favourite fantasy fictions. The box set was finely packed and the best gift I could give myself to survive this lockdown. No complaints, go ahead and indulge yourself into the best of worlds reading these books for knowledge, entertainment , vocabulary.
First of all: the one I got was not a Bloomsbury hardcover, but a Ted Smart 2nd printing from, I believe, 1998. Apart from some age related wear (the dust jacket is a bit wrinkled, and the union between the last pages and the endpapers is worn), it's in great condition, no missing or damaged pages. About the novel: what can be said about this book that hasn't been said in 25 years? It's charming, fun, witty, and the main mystery of the year is great. We get to know a bit about magic world history from before Harry's time, and new characters make a lasting impression, while Harry, Ron and Hermione's friendship develops in a believable way.
I bought HP books 1 & 2 (I'll probably end up buying book 3 too...lol) and I am really impressed with the craftsmanship of the interactive pieces and the beautifully unique illustrations. I also own the illustrated versions of these books and while they are nice in their own way, the Storiarts books are a level up in creativity! I think the price point is fair for the product and was really pleased to find out Storiarts is a local US business as well! Shipping was reasonable as well!
Literally stunning copies ! These copies are interactive & so much fun to read to children! Every few pages there is a new interactive page that brings these stories to life! The art on the pages is absolutely stunning. Adults and kids both will adore this fun artistic twist on an all time favorite book. It makes for a great gift too! I like that it comes wrapped in plastic to insure that your copy is completely untouched!
These illustrated editions are absolutely stunning. Minalima's contract was not extended to complete the set, so you have to understand that only books 1-3 are available in their style. However, the editor is hiring another artist to complete the series. It may look different. But regardless, these books are so beautiful I just had to have them!
Yet again Rowling provides her readers with an unforgettable, and intriguing story fully captivating with every page. The new plot sees Harry, Ron and Hermione desperately try to solve the mystery of students becoming petrified at Hogwarts. Although the story itself is mysterious and entertaining, the overuse of recapping past events can be viewed as an unnecessary inclusion in the second instalment of this series. Nevertheless, this book was beyond enjoyable treating readers to a much loved protagonist and many antagonists to despise. A brilliant continuation, readers could not help but continue reading the series if this is a taste of what's to come!
