This was a gift to my daughter (24 year old) who is an avid fan of Harry Potter. She absolutely loves the gift and will take pride of place when she moves into her own home within the next few months. A great gift. Loved the way the books were packaged in a Harry Potter styled "suitcase".

Got this as a birthday gift and it was a great buy. The set arrived in good condition and on time. None of the books have production defects. Being accustomed to the UK editions, I found them overly large at first, but the 12 point font (except for TOTP) and large size make for comfortable reading. There's a definite classic feel to the books as they are first editions (2021 prints) but I'm not sure if the quality is the same as the original Arthur Levine ones. The cardboard trunk won't last and it's already beginning to show wear from shipping and how heavy the books are. I'd recommend using the inner case and preserving the trunk.

This is the most beautiful set of books i have ever received i love them so much. At first i was worried about the trunk when ordering because its cardboard, but its a really strong and holds really well and looks beautiful, an amazing vessel to store these absolutely stunning books. Reallly really worth the price. At first mine arrived with a book missing but staff were so super amazing in helping to fix it up and the replacement came way earlier then i expected. By far the easiest staff i have dealt with. Again i am very very happy about this product and if your considering buying it then genuinely just go for it

I was totally a Harry Potter fan when I was coming up. I'm over the moon excited about being able to share the joys of being a Harry Potter fan with my son! The books are in great condition! I was a little weary about purchasing based off other reviews saying the pages were faded. The second the boxset came, I looked through every book to make sure all the pages were legible and they are! I just can't wait to start on the Chamber of Secrets tonight at bedtime! Bedtime is now gonna be an adventure for me and my little guy!
The trunk, while appearing textured, is smooth & easy to slide in & out of its storage place. With the functioning plastic lock on the front, the lid stays closed which I found to be a neat extra feature. The soft rope/cord handles on the sides are functional, too, as they can support the weight of the trunk during transport. On the lid, there's a place to personalize the trunk for the owner in a manner befitting its contents. Inside, the books are displayed neatly snug and in order without being crammed in nor left loose to jostle about, preventing damage. The trunk also has a decorative design inside for those wishing to leave it open to display the books within. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The books are gorgeous and in pristine condition, and i’m shocked people are mad for not having an authentic wooden trunk! The lock on it is a bit hard to open and close, but the box is nice looking and eventually you get the hang of it. They were given to me as a Christmas gift and I love them so much! Plus, I love the stickers included inside! It was a nice surprise pulling them out, and I just stuck a Ravenclaw sticker right in the middle of the inside trunk. I would recommend this to any Harry Potter lover, and personally believe it’s worth the price tag.
The books came in, and they even arrived early! Being one week before Christmas, I was certainly impressed. The box the books are in is well made, and is sturdy. The hardcover books are wonderful. This is the second chest of the books we have bought over the years. They are an awesome gift. They have not decreased quality in the manufacturing of the product. It is identical to the one previously purchased a decade ago.The only downside... they are shipped in a box stating exactly what the box contains. In some circumstances it may not matter. Unfortunately, ours was retrieved from the front door by a very excited kiddo just turning 12. He loved them, but the surprise instantly disappeared lol.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SET!!!! All of the books were in perfect condition. I previously read the Harry Potter series in paper back but I now remember how much better the hardcover versions are. Even when reading laying down, the hardcover books are awesome. The paper is amazing and doesn't rip easily, pages are easily turned, and best of all, you get all 7 amazing Harry Potter books. It is a no-brainer. Why are you still reading this review when you could be ordering this set!!!
I've been looking at buying this for probably the last two years - from several different places. But I always talked myself out of it because the cardboard box was a turn off. However, it's a thicker and more sturdy cardboard than what you would usually think of. I'm so glad I bought it. I love it. And everyone I have shown it to, love it. I was able to get this while it was on sale, along with using an additional coupon code I found. Ordered it online - and was able to pick it up in less than two hours later. If I ordered it from anywhere else, I would have had to wait for it to ship to the store or directly to me. It was a no brainer! Currently on book 4 of rereading the series. Love it and so glad I got this :)
