This is described as the 6 player version in the details and has 6 cars in the photo of the Board. I received the 4 player version, contacted the company and still haven’t heard anything from them a week later. I sent this back and will be purchasing from an alternate seller.

I hadn't played this game in about 15 years and never played it as a child but I recalled it being fun and myself and my almost 7 year old son have a blast playing board games. We have bunch but in just 2 days of having this game, we have played it 6 times and it's now both of our favorite game. This was a winning purchase at our house and we both adore that you can adopt pets (the old version didn't have that). Highly recommend for family fun! And I LOVE the idea of teaching my son to weigh his choices and that there are benefits and complications from those choices, just like real life. He's definitely a saver and never buys a house in this game lol.

Great
12 January 2022

This was a present for someone else so I've no idea what it's like. It looked very good though. The packaging of the cards inside needs strengthening as they had burst through it in transit and were all over the place. I counted everything and they were all there so all ok! I put an elastic band round them.

Bought this as a gift so recipient not played yet however I think they will love as I used to play a long time ago and it's good light hearted fun but does subconsciously make you think about options in life. Currently version is obviously different to what I had years ago but rules etc are still the same. Nice and bright colours. Smyth's Toys were great with delivery, packaging and pricing. Overall great product and shopping experience would recommend.

Not even close to the game I remember
2 December 2019

This is definitely not the game of Life as most people would remember. Gone are the insurance policies, the currency denominations in combination with the cards and their amounts cause you to constantly have to make change (no 20k bills?). Cards occasionally force you to take real life actions (like dancing, etc), which we just ignored when we played it. The tiny game pieces are incredibly easy to lose (and it doesn't help that the box lid has a giant hole cut out of it to show the spinner). Be prepared to use lots of ziplock bags. Do Not Recommend.

Returned may try to find a older edition.
20 January 2021

I bought this because I always wanted to play the game of life. I remember watching neighbors play it but never could myself due to player limit. I am disappointed in the game. It feels like it was reworked for kids and young ones at that. I remember there being of choice and substance to the game. This version may have added pets but it feels empty none the less. All the cards can be boiled down to x happens get/give y amount of money to z. If you are looking for a interesting game try something else.

Too ridiculous
2 November 2019

This is an updated version from the original but this game is honestly so bizzare and unrealistic its hard play. And weve only had it two days. The spinner is really cheap and flimsy, you have to hold it when you spin or else it barely moves. The action cards are a joke. I get that its a kids game, but when you have action cards that basically have you spin every turn to figure out how much money you get from the bank. Example: “set up a school everyone wants to go to, collect 40k from the bank†yes... because if i set up a bank im going earn money before paying to set it up.This game is frustrating on all levels because not only does it not reflect life in anyway, the money is extremely high.
