Unfortunately, I had to send the table back because it had quite a few defects (paint chipping and chipped edges on the tray, the frame slightly bent). I don't know how Hay or the manufacturer can put such a product on the market, as this is annoying for the customer (and certainly the seller). I would still like to have the table, as I really like the design, however, based on other reviews, I doubt that the next one is in better condition.On the part of Connox everything went great as always.

The table is filigree and yet stable. I was amazed at the weight, the workmanship is very good. The tray lies loosely on the frame, but does not slip due to its own weight and thanks to the silicone knobs on the frame. We have ordered several sizes and are thrilled. The tables can be combined in a variety of ways and also look good individually. In front of our floor-to-ceiling windows, they serve as a storage area for plants and bouquets and do not swallow any light. We have a total of three of these tables in the house.

The white lacquer is "cold white", i.e. at least completely neutral in colour, if not even with a slight tendency towards the bluish colour spectrum.It should be remembered that the white tones usually found in the living room are regularly very light beige. This is probably the rule, for example, with white lacquered wooden furniture.Normally such nuances don't stand out at all, but the white of the tray table stands out clearly from the other white tones, so that in the worst case they suddenly appear "dirty".I wonder why Hay uses such an unusual cold white. Otherwise, the table is beautiful.

Very shapely side table with filigree frame and unique look.Tray to use as a removable tray is completely unrealistic. It is simply far too large and heavy for that. The corners of the frame are extremely sharp - risk of injury. The tray did not rest flat on the rack, causing it to wobble. However, customer service resolved this to our satisfaction. Due to the above points, therefore, one star less.
The Hay tray side table is stunning. It is elegant and strong looking. It has an airy, open look, and the black is easy to stage with other elements in the room. I’m just loving it. I may have to get a second one.
Matching our Hay Mags sofa we also ordered the Tray Table and are very satisfied. Although it has a large surface it looks almost filigree due to its thin frame. The table top is insensitive and even glasses without coasters can be parked without fear. The height matches the sofa perfectly. Thanks to its design, it can be changed over quickly. The weight is however very high, but so far (4 months) we have not noticed any damage in the parquet. We vacuum the table and wipe it with a sponge cloth. He still looks like new although he has survived a few parties.
I've been thinking for a while about whether this table in the living room is stable enough when a toddler curiously shakes it or pulls himself up. After the construction of the table I was totally amazed how stable the heavy tray is on the frame. Since I use the table exclusively as such and do not use the tray solo, I agree very much with the heavy weight already mentioned here many times. Great workmanship and a good price-performance ratio! However, the surface of the tray is susceptible to scratches. Slightly sharper-edged objects should always be parked carefully.

We have had the white version since late 2019 and we are already throwing it away because it stains so incredibly easy (eg accidentally spilled coffee once and it now has a hint of brown all over the surface even, water spilled on a magazine and has a permanent blue spot where the magazine was, etc.). I also reached out to customer service and their only advise has been (with a follow-up that there is no other solution possible): "The only cleaning advise we have is: Tray Table should be cleaned with a firmly wrung cloth. I bought the large table in toffee color - definitely more sturdy, and higher quality for this style with a thinner frame and floating top. Overall it’s a nice fabrication and style. My only gripe is that the Toffey color in the images definitely looks like a brighter orange than what I received. It’s more of a caramel/dark gold.
I've been noticed by many influencers on Instagram. The table with its removable table top, which can be converted into a tray, immediately impressed me. The dispatch took place very fast, everything was super packed and could be set up in the twinkling of an eye. We like the material and colour very much. The table is easy to clean, water or wine edges can be easily removed with a damp cloth. We now have three of these tables in different sizes. On my wish list you can find the variant in blue - unfortunately not available here at Connox. Too bad.
