My husband stands by this product, but doesn’t like the 2 in 1 shampoo plus conditioner; he swears the results aren’t as good, so I buy the shampoo and the conditioner separately. The price is a little higher compared to other products; but because it works, we continue to pay for the quality that it provides. I do have one complaint though... zeal-Mart often sells the shampoo, but the stand alone conditioner that accompanies it is often a rare find. I often shop for the shampoo on the shelf, but find that I have to shop for the coordinating conditioner on Amazon or online someplace- I’m really not a fan of that, and it’s so troubling, that I’ve often wanted to change products all together. Okay! Call me crazy but I heard a rumor on TikTok that using a pea size amount of this occasionally as a face wash helps treat difficult acne. To my skeptical surprise it has seriously helped! I know this is NOT how this product is intended to be used but I must say it’s been an incredible discovery for me. As a shampoo though I love the clean fresh minty feel it give my scalp on deep clean days! It has also helped my husbands dandruff significantly. So all around this is a wonderful product in our house and we have been loving it for years!

only use head and shoulders and I mean ONLY use head and shoulders. My friends have tried to get me to switch to other brand, but I always come back to good old head and shoulders. I’ve tried the other 2 in 1 shampoos and conditioners on the market, but they just don’t compare to head and shoulders. They all leave my hair feeling greasy and heavy, and make my scalp itch like crazy. But with head and shoulders, my hair always feels clean and light. And it smells amazing too! That being said, there have been a few reported side effects to using Head and Shoulders shampoo over time. Due to the high content of zinc pyrithione, a chemical known for drying out the skin, many have reported that by using Head and Shoulders over time has lead to the formation of a dry itchy scalp -- which may ultimately worsen the effects of dandruff (ironically). On top of that, many of the chemicals in the Head and Shoulders recipe (SLS, Parabens, alcohol-based solvents and ‘fragrances’ to name a few) have been linked to hair loss. Due to the fact that we tend to wash our hair with shampoos quite regularly, the effects of these chemicals can be worsened on our scalp. By regularly using the shampoo, we actively strip the natural oils and proteins from our hair follicles that keep them naturally hydrated. This can cause them to dry out and become weakened over time, leading to brittle, frizzy hair and eventually hair loss.My rule of thumb is to stick to shampoos that are made from purely natural ingredients, as these are a lot friendlier to our scalps and hair in general. Hair loss is really difficult to treat, but preventing the effects of it is a lot easier when you use the correct products more often.

I have been through dandruff for my whole life until I found Head Shoulders. I like the scent of mint, so I chose this shampoo. I’ve used some other brands for my hair color treatments. However, I always came back to Head Shoulders. It made my hair clean and fragrant. My skin feels fresher. Also, they have conditioner, so my hair is really shiny smooth. I have oily hair, so I have to wash my hair everyday in order to get rid of the oily. I think mint scent make me think that my hair clean it could control my oil. I also use some other products to get rid of my dandruff. It works. So I stick with Head and Shoulders.

Listen girls, fancy shampoos are a fad. After years of trying all sorts of shampoos, I randomly started using this as I ran out of mine and my husband uses this. I have now been using this shampoos (with no conditioner) or any other styling after product, and my hair is fine after a year. I don’t bother buying anything else anymore. This is a very effective shampoo. I used to have trouble with my scalp flaking after using normal shampoo, but I haven't had any dandruff at all after 3 washes. The scent is pleasant, and lingers in my hair long after most conventional shampoo scents fade; I've had a couple of compliments from family and friends as well. The menthol scent also helps calm me down; after a hot day, lathering up the shampoo makes my whole head feel cooler, and helps ease tension headaches. The shampoo foams up quickly and clears grease from the hair effectively, and is easily rinsed without leaving residue behind (either in the hair or on the shower floor and tiles). Since then, I've used it on various occassions due to it being on sale/having some occassional dandruff periods. I've always enjoyed that I was pretty consistent and had a good formula. With the Apple Fresh however, it seems that the one I tested was a little bit more runny than the previous batches that I have bought. On top of that, the green has become more of an off pastel green than the typical granny smith green that I remember it to have (i could be remembering it wrong). Aside from this, it's still the same heads and shoulders which I think is a good thing.
