Healthy Choice Electric Food Slicer

Its ok. There are a few things that are a bit strange. It does not run very fast. There is a number 2 settings but it is not a rocker switch that goes back to off. Holding the switch on the 2 setting does not cause it to run any faster. The back board cant have hardly any pressure against it with out flexing and causing the cut to be miss aligned. If you keep the back pressure to an absolute minimum then its ok.

Avoid

The slicer is poorly designed as it has to many areas the are hard to clean.I cut one loaf of Bread and then 500g of Ham and then it stopped working.No grip on the tray causes the food to shoot out the other side when you complete a cut.

Do not buy this cheap low quality product!

Purchase and delivery experience was great as always but......quality was terrible.Made of very mild steel which bowed easily, slicer was like a saw with serrated teeth whose thinnest slice was just far too thick as the thickness adjuster was very difficult to use.Out of the box, sliced some roast beef snd then it went straight into the rubbish skip!!

Don't buy this Meat slicer!

This is the worst meat slicer I have ever had the misfortune to purchase. Who ever designed this slicer must have used a frontal photo of other meat slicer as they have no concept of how a meat slicer operates?There area at the back of the slicer has no room to catch anything you slice. The thickness gauge does not allow for thin slices! Just thick slices, I can do better with a knife.The guide rail metal is so thin, it bends when you press the meat against it making the slices even thicker!The so-called suction cap feet are made of the cheapest plastic possible and do not hold the slicer in place. Don’t waste your money

Item came in slightly damaged original box. Not even taped closed or bubble wrapped. Used item that afternoon to slice deboned breast fillet. 6 minutes of use and smoke was coming out of unit! My previous slicer lasted me 12 years. Item returned and I’d better get a refund. Purchased a well know brand one instead from Bing Lee instead and it’s fantastic! Shame one cannot leave a review with NO STARS

Good Machine for the money.

My initial rating 3 was a bit Harsh,after using machine for tough rye bread only for about 5months approx 2x 900 gram loafs per week the machine so far is holding up well.. i only use it for black bread, not ham or cheese etc so seems easy enough to keep clean. "BIG PLUS" Motor seems to be able to deal with it no problems at all Loafs unsliced 900 Grams Schinkenbrot Black Rye plain Black Rye "sweet and sour dough with carraway seeds" Bread bought from selected IGA stores small negatives 1) it's a bit noisy but hey what machines are not in this price range. 2) slices a bit irregular but it is very tough bread even by hand cutting bread it goes crooked, so ill put up with it. 3) main front guide rail rod needs lubrication "cooking oil" every use to make it smooth..

Healthy Choice Model MS451 Food Slicer

This is a basic "affordable" slicer that does the job with meat but I haven't used it much so far. Where the meat falls out the back could be designed better - the thickness adjuster is not convenient for that..Removing the parts for washing is straightforward although there is an error in the instructions - it says "To remove the blade, unfasten the grey knob in an anticlockwise direction". How could they have got this wrong? It should be "clockwise direction" - it is a left-hand thread.

Slicer

Great product, ordered to carve the Christmas turkey, etc. Arrived on time, needed no special instructions, and did the job magnificently. Rolled Turkey, Ham and other meats. Sliced paper thin or as we did with some of the turkey, sliced about 5-6mm thick. Very pleased with this product.

this is a domestic machine and as such does a great job, mostly easy to operate with only two problems i have found. 1 the thickness control knob, the pointer needs to be coloured so as to be visible, 2 the clear plastic meat holder, causes a little waste as it doesn't go quite close enough toward the blade. otherwise a good little machine, I have previously operated commercial meat slicers.

arrived on time, works better than i expected, blade spins at low speed so it's not terrifying to use, hand guards are sometimes a little difficult to use as they sometimes jam up. cleaning you have to be thorough or you will get food poisoning that being said it would be nice if the sleds were removable to make cleaning a bit more easier. i haven't come across a need for the reverse direction switch yet but i avoid pushing my equipment beyond what it is capable of. all in all great product for its price tag
