The simple art of lighting a fire has gone ahead in leaps and bounds. No more highly flammable liquids. Early versions of fire lighters had to be used immediately as they had a tendency to dry out fairly quickly as they were not sealed and the liquid used for ignition dissipated in a short time. Fire Lighter Heat Beads solve all these problems as evidenced in the sealed safe packaging which has a very good shelf life. I generally find one is quite sufficient to start a fire of larger timber with a minimum of tinder.An integral item in my camping gear.

Far superior to the generic brands supplied by leading supermarkets etc. Light immediately, burn longer very little or no smell
Far superior to others on the market, easy to light and get the heat beads fired up very quickly
One of these is enough to reliably start the Kamado Joe coal I use. Good product!
Work brilliantly with the heat beads and use half as many compared to cheap firelighters.
Definatley don't like these as much as the ones I get from coles or bunnings. They are much harder to light which isn't good if you have limited spark/flame to light it.
