I don't understand why these get so much hate. I installed one in our alfresco and was really worried after all the reviews I had read that it wouldn't work. I mounted it per instructions and hard-wired it In with my electrician and for out 3x4m area it works flawless. Couldn't be happier!

Unless you're standing right under it you won't feel any heat. We got 2 to heat an area of 12m2. Didn't heat it enough so we still need the gas patio heater.

Purchased 3 white heaters (3200w) for $899 each and very disappointed with the heat. Design is very good but that’s about it! I will now need to buy another heater and would not recommend this product.
The unit itself is quite nice - gives a decent heat and looks good. Would have been nice to have a medium heat setting, particularly given there’s a smart phone app, but only has high or low. The cheaper model seems to have a range - not sure why this didn’t get the same.But the real annoying thing is there’s no wall mount for the remote. Official word from the manufacturer is they consider it like an Apple TV or Foxtel remote that the user will keep on their outdoor table. Really it’s more like an air conditioning remote, and I’ve never seen one of those without a mounting bracket. For a few cents of plastic they’d be well served to change their policy on that and leave it up to the user to decide how they want to use their own remote control.
I read the reviews but decided to purchase this as my undercover patio ceiling is quite low compared to some of the pic others are posting (low enough for me to touch the heater while standing. I'm 5'7) but as soon as i sit down on a chair directly under it I cannot feel any heat. It's been professionally installed by an electrical, otherwise I'd return it.
I bought two for outdoor area. 2.5 is my roof hight. They work ok for heat and wifi app works fine. The only worry I have is it won't be enough heat in the winter months. It also gets really hot on top of unit so keep cables off it and check ceiling doesn't get to hot. Way over price for what it does, but they do what it says.
Heat is average especially for the price. If you were hear an outdoor area on these alone expect to spend thousands.
We are really disappointed with the heatstrip- it doesn't work. We don't know whether we can return it now that it is installed. Minimal heat comes out. Total waste of money.
I bought two of this a month ago and got them professionally installed. They look okay and heating is not too bad, but the wifi is useless. They are always offline or unresponsive. I even got a wifi extender thinking it could be due to poor signal, even though I have smart switches and smart speakers in the same area, but the result is the same. They are not worth the price without the smart features. You can buy the same heating power for a lot less. I'm really disappointed that I paid this much hoping I was getting a quality product.
Sitting directly under the heater with very minimal heat, remote past to be pushed a number of time at different angles just to turn it on at a cost of $800
