It was a bit disappointing when I tried Heinz Salad Cream Extra Light 70 Less Fat. Although it was expected that the taste would be different than the original salad cream, I found this to be artificially sweet because of the added sweetener. Otherwise it has a creamy consistency with the distinct vinegar flavour which is good. I will probably purchase the original salad cream next time, and use less to keep the calorie count down.

Received this product to test for free in exchange for my honest review. Classic Heinz packaging, smooth texture. I love the taste, it is a must have on all my salads, along with a little bit of olive oil. No need for vinegar when using the sauce.

I was a little apprehensive when I first opened this bottle of 70% less fat Salad Cream, but I needn’t have worried, it still has the creamy texture and taste of the original Salad Cream, and it’s so much healthier! I’ll definitely be making the switch in future! 😊

Great product I use it on my salads or sandwiches to add tasty flavour and it's vegetarian too.My favourite is egg salad this version is still as creamy as the original with the benefits of having much less fat and so less calories, which is great news.

I was suspicious about how a 70% less fat salad cream would taste but my goodness I was proved wrong. This tastes exactly like normal Heinz salad cream which I was incredible surprised about. I would definitely buy this again since it’s much lower in fat and less calories but taste the same. The only difference I noticed was that it’s a little too runny in my opinion but this works quite well as a salad dressing!

I’m not usually a salad dressing fan but when I hear creamy, low fat and delicious in one sentence, I’m definitely going to try it. We all love salads but potato salad is probably our favourite so the product was perfect to use for that. I was very nervous as I always stick to what I know but was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the salad was. It has a slight tanginess (perfect amount)but not overwhelmingly sour (I’ve tasted some REALLY sour salad creams). We even tried it in a ham and salad sandwich and that was a game changer.It might to be to everyone’s taste but I’ve been swayed.I now love salad cream

I was sent this by Influenster, it tastes sooo good you can’t tell it is formulated with 70% less fat. It tastes the same as normal salad cream if not better. I would definitely recommend this instead of regular salad cream just because it is better for you.

Unnecessary Product

Heinz have 3 versions of their salad cream. Oddly the lowest fat version (70% less) is the one with the least carbs. This is because they thicken with xanthum and guar gum and replace some sugar with sweeteners. It's almost impossible to get though. It's never available and only this one, which isn't as low in carbs, or the full fat one with the highest carbs is ever available. Nobody seems to really buy this one. You'd think they'd get rid and keep the two popular ones.

I buy this Heinz low fat salad cream regularly and for me it is so rich in taste and thick enough to stay where put and doesnt run off your cutlery. I cannot honestly taste the difference between the Heinz full fat version and this low fat one, this is the one for me. As the below reviews, I also think that with Heinz you always get consistency and for this I would not choose to buy another brand, although, I had tasted others that fall below par. It is not too overpowering either. It is at a fantastic price point at the minute on offer, so Id say now is the time to try this and Im sure it wont be your last purchase. It keeps before opening in a cool and dark place, then once opened in the fridge for up to six weeks. It doesnt leak stored on its side either.
