Its ketchup, right I mean, whats all the fuss about Having been brought up on the usual market leader I was well aware that it was about as close to real tomato ketchup as I am to the Pope so when I first saw this on the supermarket shelves I dismissed it as more of the same. Then I tried several other Sauce Shop products and figured, OK then, if the rest of them are so good I better try the ketchup. I seriously wish Id done it sooner. Out of the bottle, the texture is the first thing you spot, its thicker and less smooth like it hasnt come straight from an industrial blending process. It smells of tomato that has been simmered long and slow to bring out all the flavour but without destroying any of the fragrance. Ive tried it with all sorts of foods, chips obviously, chicken, beef, sausages all of them benefit from a complimentary flavour boost that doesnt overwhelm but serves to enhance as any good condiment should. Without a doubt, this is my goto ketchup now and may even be my favourite sauce outside of hot sauces

They clearly change more than sugars in the ratio. The consistency of this ketchup is much thinner. And even though it has less sugar (sugar masks acidity) it still seems less acidic. The best part about this is you can actually taste the tomato, the bright vibrant tomato flavor. That you don't even realize you're not tasting with regular ketchup until you taste this. Canadian ingredients are different. Why?

Even on the heinz website is where you can switch to Canadian to find simply 5 ingredients. Why do we have "natural flavor" and use not fresh tomato paste in the states? How do we order only from outside the US? Remember that commercial of the moms talking about high fructose corn syrup convincing us it was safe. Alrighty then. Is anything real or are US citizens just lab experiments? this is ketchup. crushed tomatoes. why is there even a need to use "simple" in the title if it's byproduct poison in America? Why do other countries get real food but our citizens beg for this poison?

Great Taste Minus the Unnecessary Sugar however not sure why the price is more for less ingredients. I stopped buying ketchup for my kids due to high fructose and suger content but now with this I dont feel guilty eating this nor giving it to my kids. My 11yr old says it reminds him of WhatABurgers ketchup. My 5yr old didnt notice a difference and asked for more with a 2nd helping of fries. As for myself, I added cayenne pepper to it and dam$ near licked the bowl. I hope that more brands offer no sugar and for healths sake make this the norm!
