Living in a small country town it is hard to find some things in the supermarket. So when I found this on Catch I had to order some. I used to love this when I was younger and still do. It arrived safely and unbroken. It was extremely well packed. No com

I've been eating this since I was a kid (now almost 61). Nowadays I use it as a pickle on my grated cheese sandwiches, rather like you would Branston or Picalilli.I'm just saddened that the very large jars are no longer available.

I remember this back in the 70s, but I use this now in place of coleslaw. I love jacket potatoes with cheese and coleslaw, but as the only one in the house that does, coleslaw simply doesnt last long enough if you dont want it every day every time you buy it. Instead I mix one tablespoon of sandwich spread with one tablespoon of mayo, then fold in grated cheese. The mayo simply tones down the tanginess of the sandwich spread so you get a milder mix. Jar says eat within 2 weeks once open, but Id say it lasts a lot longer than that as long as its kept refrigerated.

I love this stuff. Bought it specifically to use on my very blah oatmeal crackers for breakfast ! It's very expensive to buy from UK as a person living in the US, and I am playng with the idea of making my own - so we'll see if that works out ! Sorry - you may lose me as a customer, but as a Brit I grew up with this stuff, so it's one of my favorite British products ! Delicious & helps me to stay away from sweet things !
I used to love Heinz Sandwich Spread but haven't had for a long while, so decided to treat myself. All I could tase was very strong vinegar while my long standing memory is of the vegetables and a gentle salad cream.
Grew up in UK eating this, now found I can get it here in US thanks to ebay sellers. Thank you. This spread is lovely, full of flavor with a nice tang. Tried the US versions and just not the same at all, this is truly the best sandwich spread.
To be opened next. However, having spent 10 years in Scotland and England, this item was ALWAYS an item in-use and was always available for sandwich-prep!!!!So, we assume to have the same quality we experienced while we were in the UK !! Hence, the positive review, prior to actual "use"!!!!!
This was a totally inappropriate substitution for tuna! Second largest ingredient SUGAR making it cheap, unhealthy rubbish. Good to give to children if you are not bothered about their health of teeth.
absolutely love it and now my hubby does too. on our sandwiches its great but i also put it in my macaroni and potato salads.packaging is fine. love the taste nice and a bit tart. i ordered three this last time in case you run out for awhile.
If he was the Earl of Sandwich, then this is the Queen of Sandwich fillings, that spreads into his butter-lubricated embrace. Tangy, crunchy, yummy - this should have its own National Day. Whoever invented this should be on bank notes.
