Great jacket, but imho lacks some minor details like patch velcro on the arms or a stiff wire brim in the hood. But then again it would have to be more expensive...All in all, you can't do much wrong with this jacket from spring to fall!

This was also fantastic walked up in Snowdonia keep the rain away all day and keep me dry and was very fast drying off very useful

Had to exchange for the next size up, so I’ve only just been using the jacket. It’s light, easy to put on, reasonably warm for a light weight, well made and decent price. Not had a chance to use it in rain as yet, but no doubt will get a chance very soon🤣Returns service from New Forest is one of the best I’ve ever used as well.
Lovely jacket, but had to change for a size up to allow for a sweater underneath. I have to say the return process is one of the best I’ve come across. Nothing was too much trouble, and I’d highly recommend New Forest to anyone thinking of getting some country wear 👌👌👌
Ordered the jacket for use when hiking with a backpack. Wore it on a 20km hike in the peak district recently and we encountered rain, wind and sun. Although its not claimed to be waterproof, it kept the wortst of the rain off me with no need to break out the rain coat for the 20 minute showers we had. It was excellent at keeping the wind off my body and face, with the large hood really helping. The ventilation is also great with pit zips (which can go all the way down to the bottom of the garment if needed) meant that i could vent when needed. The pocket has great functionality with good internal dividing pockets for items such as sun glasses or your phone etc. And the hand pockets are great as they join together in the middle to create a 'tunnel' which means you ... MoreOrdered the jacket for use when hiking with a backpack. This a very well made well designed Anorak. The best feature are the full length zips either side which make this anorak a breeze to put on and take off. Pockets also well designed and a really good hood. On the downside this jacket is not waterproof and that's clear when buying. The other major issue I have with Helikon-Tex is their sizing chart. By their EU half chest measurement I should have taken an EU small. I went one up and tried Medium. I'm 5' 9" and a 40" chest. EU M should have felt large on me. I could barely get it on. I have since bought large which by H-T's sizing should have drowned me. It is a perfect fit with enough room for an extra layer if needed. So, a great jacket, but sizing could be trial and error, with you losing out on free return postage.
Helikon-tex woodman jacket is superb great for the outdoors in all weathers and hear in Scotland where we see all 4 seasons in one day it's an absolute steal
Quick service and goods as described. The jacket is of good quality, strong but light material and a good fit. I’m an XL for most clothing as is this jacket. There’s room underneath for a bit of layering if required. Highly recommended.
