This is the condiment we go through the quickest in our home. I can't seem to buy enough jars. Now, my stores stopped carrying it and I am worried I won't be able to find it anywhere. On the website the label says new and it looks different. I only hope that you haven't changed the ingredients. My family has tried ALL the other vegan mayo out there and HELLMANS is the best. Please keep this product available.

Compared to the old vegan mayo this one is more creamy and less sweet. Looking at the nutritional data it has only a little bit more sugar at 1.7g, compared to 1.3g in the normal one. The old vegan mayo had double the amount. The consistency is a bit more pasty than the old one, but its still nice, way nicer than all the other brands. Still slightly prefer the older vegan recipe.

I knew immediately that I wouldn't use this. I'm used to the regular recipe so had expectations. The saltiness, the vinegar, they are all there, but there's a certain texture and flavor. I think the starch in the ingredients is what I am reacting to. I just don't care for it in comparison to the regular recipe. I'm looking for an eggless that is more like the regular recipe. Keep trying, please.

I love this stuff. I like the taste. It tastes like mayo. It looks like mayo. And, I feel a sense of relieve that it is plant based because I feel like it is better for my body. Unlike the way I feel about regular mayo that can have eggs, butter and other things in it that can clog my arteries. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't discontinue it.
Hellmans brags they have changed the label and the mayo is still the same great taste. But thankfully I still possess an old Vegan label jar that says otherwise. Old Vegan Hellmans recipe has 72% rapeseed oil. New Plant Based has 52%. Ergo, higher water content, second biggest ingredient. And boy does it make a difference. First noticed the ruse when I made potato salad (nothing like that tempting photo above). As soon as I stirred through my favourite mayo, the salad became a glutinous mess. I assumed it was the pink fir potatoes. A week later, another glitch in the matrix, with Harry and Percy new potatoes. Again, assumed it must be the potatoes, suffering from inclement growing conditions. Yet another company stiffing and conning the customer to line the pockets of the shareholders, at the expense of loyalty and flavour. Yes it is reminiscent of the Old version, but the glutinous mouthfeel detracts from the flavour. Served plain in a sandwich, burger or with wedges, this New iteration of mayo is passable, as the food masks the texture. Shame, as used to be hands down the best vegan mayo on the market.
Just tried this plant-based mayo, and it's amazing! The texture is super creamy, not runny or gloopy at all. It spreads perfectly on sandwiches and has that classic tangy flavor without any eggy aftertaste. I used it on a veggie burger, in a potato salad, and even as a dip for fries—it worked great every time. Knowing it's all plant-based makes it even better. If you're thinking about switching to vegan mayo, this one’s a must-try. It's definitely earned a permanent spot in my fridge!
The past few years, I've developed an intolerance to eggs and anything containing eggs, so for a while, I wasn't able to enjoy mayonnaise. I'm so happy they have brought out vegan options. This tastes exactly like regular mayonnaise. There's no difference in taste at all, and I can eat it without worrying about feeling unwell. I've already purchased another bottle which cost about £2 so great value for money.
Initially I had doubts about this product (this was before I tried it). I love mayo normally and wasn’t sure if the plant based version would be the same. To tell you the truth, it isn’t. IT’S EVEN BETTER! I absolutely love it! No after taste, tastes as if it is mayo and is plant based! My kids preferred it too. I will be switching to this one from now on.
Pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture of this mayonnaise compared to the regular Hellman’s mayonnaise I normally buy. Expected it to taste different or with a strange flavour but this wasn’t the case.The ingredients were flavoursome, packaging high standard and easy to squeeze out mayonnaise. Love the sustainability of the product. Would definitely recommend and will buy myself in the future
I can’t actually believe I’m saying this but you can not tell the difference between this and the real thing. I was shocked. Sometimes they never taste similar or taste weird but I can honestly say you will not be able to tell the difference!! The texture is the same and same taste. The bottle is eye catching with the same squirty bottle. It’s plant based! And I like it! Never thought I’d say it.
