It is waterproof and has a hood as well as shaped hem at the back. Plenty of unobtrusive pockets and an exterior hook at the back to hang it up. The colour is dark navy and looks very smart. Helle Hansen slightly overdo the logo but it is reflective so does have some safety purpose. It was good value in the sale. Outdoor and Country delivered it quickly and their website was helpful.

The cut and fit is very flattering. It's a little thicker than I anticipated and I wish it had pit zips for venting. Probably a little too warm for summer rains but lined with mesh so it shouldn't stick to your skin. The outside chest pocket is too small to hold my phone so I use an inside pocket for it. Also feel a little like a walking advertisement for Helly Hansen. So not perfect for me, but looks good and does its job.

I did a bit of research before I bought this jacket and found it was the most practical design with the best features and by far the best value. Looks great on and get many compliments. I bought it for inshore sailing/racing (I wanted a hood!) and general wear. And while white is a terrible colour to keep clean, it's so nice I made an exception.

Helly Hansen gear never disappoints. This jacket in their Coastal Sailing Line is perfect for keeping you warm & dry for days on the water inshore or out hiking on windy, cool rainy days. Great value for its quality & all perks you would get in a more expensive jacket. Be warned to size up if you wish to put a sweater underneath. I usually take a small/medium in jackets, but heeded other reviews & sized up to a large, which fits perfectly for adding another thicker layer underneath. Love the length & weight & stylish design. Highly recommend.

Arm length is slightly longer providing better coverage than women's jackets are usually made, and fit around me at slightly over 200 lb being a XXL which is not easy to find in this kind of gear for women. We’ll all other rain jackets are ruined for me now because this one is superior to anything I’ve ever tried on. It keeps you dry, you never get that feeling that you’re wearing a crunchy hot plastic bag like other raincoats do. You won’t overheat. The good stays on your head AND tucks away in 2 seconds when not needed. I’ve put it to the test in insane rainfall and it’s really a quality product. Dries quickly, fit is cute. I’m 5’4” 125lbs and bought a small. 10/10 recommend.

I contacted HH prior to ordering to determine best guess at a fit. I ordered three of these jackets to try them out (this is my first HH product), but sadly none worked. I found the jacket fit small and had to size up several sizes. The 3X was very snug I could do it up but no hope of fitting anything beneath it. The 4X was also quite snug but seemingly not much different than the 3. The 5X on the other hand, was a huge jump in spaciousness. My wife and I saw this jacket several times before while away on vacation, and she really wanted it. When we came home, I went online and searched for it. I did find it, but I also found a version that added some light insulation to it for very little change in cost. I didn't tell her I got it, so when the package came, I let her open it and be surprised. She was thrilled with it, and she's still thrilled with it! It's her second HH, and it fits just as well as her first one does.
I love the look of this jacket. Very clean. It’s warmer than I expected with a thick cotton liner inside. I am normally a small in jackets with the occasional medium but in this I bought a medium. The medium is a little snug across the chest which flattens me a bit like I’m wearing a sports bra. A large would be too big all around. Oh well. It’s cute enough that I’ll keep it! My family gave me the thumbs up. So that’s good.For reference I’m a size 4/6 with a 34DDD or a 34G depending where you shop!
The jacket looks great but I am short (5' 4") and didn't think it would look that great on me, but it does and is very stylish and slimming! The material is a little on the noisy side but then again, I'm in the market because my quiet waterproof jacket is no longer waterproof. I've used this on the boat during some very cold summer pre-dawn mornings (PNW) but I have yet to test it in the fall temps. I'll bring some additional layers just in case. Very happy with it.
