I owned the original Crew softshell which was a great jacket, but unfortunately lost it. When I saw the updated version, I thought here was my chance to replace my beloved old version which was, by then, no longer available. But unfortunately, this 2.0 version doesn't hold up against te original. The material is thinner and lighter, not as warm or as durable. The bomber, metallic zip replaced with cheaper plastic alternatives... overall, just feels like they took the old jacket and then cut costs all over the place to turn out this jacket, which might fit the bill for some, but in comparison to the original, isn't great. Hopefully not a sign of things to come for HH, downgrading quality :(

So I forgot what the other rating was for this. But I love this product. Just wish REI had the other colors. Esp Black and/or White. Apparently this is a discontinued model (sku). I checked the HH website and am looking in other places. Is relatively light weight and very warm for this type of material/jacket. I haven't tried it in rain, but don't think that it was designed for that. It remind me of the Eddie Bower soft-shell jackets. Which I like a lot. Be ready to be kept warm. Perfect for a cold fall/autumn day or as liner for an arctic day.Fit - Good slim/athletic, to moderate body type. I am 6'3" at around 223-226 lbs.If Helly is reading this. Please think about brining this back. Sans hood.

This jacket is super warm and stylish, with lots of hidden pockets to store my phone and wallet. I'd absolutely recommend the jacket and this brand.
I purchased the jacket on line and used the size chart prior to ordering. I have a 41" chest, 32" waist and 32" sleeve. According to the size chart, a medium was recommended. I was very impressed with the appearance of the jacket but when I tried it on it was so tight, I could not zip it. I returned it to the store and ordered a large. Again, I tried it on but although I was able to zip it, I looked like a stuffed sausage. I normally purchase a medium or large jacket.
Beautiful, well made jacket and one of the finest in terms of quality build. It should last for years to come. Little on the small side in sizing, so might be worth going up one size to ensure a good fit.
This jacket is very comfortable. It has good length to keep wearer warm and dry over the complete torso and feels like a very high quality garment. Which it is. And the design is very stylish. Great purchase!!
I received this Jacket today and was super impressed with the product, I first noticed that great care was taken by the manufacturer to properly package the product and avoid damages in shipping. This jacket was expected to replace my North Face Soft-shell jacket, unfortunately the overall dimensions were too small all around to fit by body type. It is not as soft and stretchy as TNF soft-shells and the fabric is much thicker and warmer. I would recommend ordering it in a size larger than you normally wear.
The logo isn't the subtle black on black pictured. It's white on black. And the brand is on the back collar, a logo on the left rear shoulder, and right sleeve. The jacket itself looks and feels great but the logos ruin it. Returning it.
Jacket is warm and perfect for the wet, windy Melbourne weather.I wore it to a function recently and I received quite a few compliments on how smart the jacket looks.I am very pleased with it so far.
