Quick review as I'm the same size as another reviewer (5'8", ~180). I've worn medium for 10 years...this is the first size small I've purchased in ages. It easily accommodated *two* puffy jackets under it simultaneously. I can't believe the other reviewer bought a large and didn't think it was big enough. I was swimming in the medium. Maybe the sizing is variable? Otherwise I'm very much looking forward to using - the internal cuffs are a must (they could use a bit more Velcro on the strap but a minor quibble.

I purchased the red jacket. The garment wind proof properties were superior beyond words. Out in the elements, the temperature inside was fantastic- Goldilocks zone as they like to call it. Having said that I wore a thermal top to go with a polo shirt. If you value comfort- the jacket is lighter than those bulky puffer jacket- this is your go to jacket rain, hail or shine. Go ahead- give yourself that needed promotion!

I wasn't expecting the quality and features to be as good as they are. I purchased mainly on price and to be honest I cannot see why anyone would not be entirely happy with the product. Well done Helly Hanson. Delivery was fast and the jacket was well packed, well done Anaconda.

This is a great jacket. While the initial cost is a bit daunting it is a quality item. I am 6’4” with long arms and the XL fit was excellent. I appreciate especially the low drop length of the jacket. It is an acceptable weight and stows easily in my backpack. It does a great job keeping pouring rain at bay and will accompany me on many long walks. Reflective area is very beneficial when night walking on country roads. Could possibly benefit from a Velcro strap to effect better neck area closure when utilising without under layers. I do however thoroughly recommend this product.
I am 175cm, slim build (73kg).Ended up getting the small, which still allows me to comfortably wear a jumper underneath.Excellent design - pockets are practical, hood releases easy, and stores easily.Good quality, bright colours.
Great hi-vis and waterproof detailing. Pockets have storm flaps and good carry capacity with handwarmer pockets behind them. Double cuffs on sleeves (both adjustable) add a nice seal to keep weather out even more and add warmth. Hood packs quick and easy and gives good structure to collar (which is fleece lined and super comfy). Jacket is mesh-lined but not insulated. For me (I tend to run warm) it is great for those slightly less freezing winter days. Or if colder you can just add a sweater beneath. but also anticipate will be able to also wear it in spring and fall with minimal layering and still be comfy.Very comfortable cut. My only note is that the size guide told me to get an XXL and ultimately the Large was the perfect fit. I was swimming in the XXL. I am ... MoreGreat hi-vis and waterproof detailing. My only note is that the size guide told me to get an XXL and ultimately the Large was the perfect fit. I was swimming in the XXL. I am 6'4" and ~230 lbs but like a nice, trim, fitted but not TIGHT silhouette. I'm not sure if other folks don't know their actual size (or lie for some crazy reason) and skewed the size charts, or what, but a large fits me perfectly without being the slightest bit tight.
The jacket itself was nice, runs a little large so I read that I should size down - this is good advice. It was on sale so the price was better (still not a bargain, though) and it arrived quickly after ordering online. My jacket, like some others in the reviews I've read, had some quality control issues. The stitching in the arm where it attaches to the body were fraying and loose. I tried to exchange it, but there were no jackets left in the same colour/size combination. Anaconda refunded my purchase and apologised, not that it was their fault.I'd grab another one if the price was right and I knew it wasn't faulty
Exceptional build quality. Hydrophobic outer shell, super comfortable and incredibly capable in big swell, gnarly spray and relentless rain. The double storm cuffs are a win. The hood is really functional when you’re on deck tying knots in a downpour - it isn’t an irritation like the majority of hoods.I’m a tall, slim guy and went for a ladies medium as a men’s small was not available. They are a generic cut, not women or men specific but they do run big.
I bought this Helly Hansen followed weather jacket for sailing on San Francisco Bay. I've only worn it a few times, and I love all of the features like the flock lined/pockets, and a very substantial hood with adjustable bungee. I have yet to see how well it will stand up t a bow wave but it has good potential. West Marine also offered the best price.
I gotten many compliments from this jacket. The proof is in the pudding; as the old adage goes- there's ain't free lunch in Australia, and the cheap lunches ain't better! You are paying top price for a top flight product. I am warm and toasty on a 7 degrees morning- the aquaphobic material is of course tried and tested in Norway. Generous sizing- so beware.
