It is exactly what many motorcyclists have been searching for. In recent years there has been a huge growth in what one might term retro motorcycles, but before the Arai all the helmets that were designed to be worn on these bikes were deficient in one way or another. The Rapide is a safe helmet. It is comfortable, quiet, well vented and comes with a Pinlock 120, yet it has the kind of totally smooth round shell that all motorcycle helmets had back in the seventies and eighties. In design terms, the helmet is a mix between a classic helmet and the kind of helmet that would also look right on something like a street fighter.
