I first tried this gin at the recommendation of a friend after I told him that I didn’t really like gin. Apparently not having tried this one was a cardinal sin to gin-drinkers…so I gave it a taste completely on its own. To my absolute surprise I LOVED IT. Nowadays, if I see any bar has Hendricks, I will gladly pay any up charge to replace this gin in any of their menu cocktails. It’s the most floral tasting gin I’ve ever had, but it doesn’t have that typical rose water perfume taste. This has a lovely taste of rose, cucumber, and even elderflower. It’s more like getting all those authentic tasting ingredients from a tea than drinking an infused alcohol. It mixes well with almost anything and is now a staple in my house.

I love Gin, it’s a great alcohol and the fondness I grew for gin really started senior year around grade 10 high school for me. I was introduced to brands like Bombay Sapphire and others of similar taste, however it wasn’t until I got older that I realized I was drinking a not so great gin in comparison to Hendrick’s. If you love gin like I do and you’re still in the high school phase of it, level up your game and upgrade to small batch! Yes it’s more costly at around $54 CAD, but you’ll be doing yourself a HUGE favour! I get the high school/lower level alcohol phase trust me I do. It’s cost effective and back then we drank like it was a sport. Now that I’m older, my tastebuds are more developed and I’m not drinking to get sloshed, I have a new found appreciation ... MoreI love Gin, it’s a great alcohol and the fondness I grew for gin really started senior year around grade 10 high school for me. A good mixer is the Midsummer Solstice.
11 January 2023

Although I could drink this thing straight, I always put it into a cocktail because it is so wonderful for that. The cocktail? I'm a little dissatisfied that it's a limited release, but I'm glad that it was made at all. Hibiscus tea, passionfruit juice, and tropical punch are all combined in the mixer. I fill the remaining space in a tall glass with mixer after adding one shot of Hendrick's Midsummer Solstice gin, some ice, and 1-2 oz of either Perrier or San Pellegrino. I regret not having a picture of a full glass, though not necessary in that order. And if you folks at Hendrick's see this, as long as you keep creating this stuff, I'll keep purchasing it. I started drinking it before I paused to take a picture.I appreciate your excellent craftsmanship, and please ... MoreAlthough I could drink this thing straight, I always put it into a cocktail because it is so wonderful for that. I will always have access to one Gin.

It's true what the reviewer says: "Best. Gin. Anywhere." I'll provide a few notes. A cork is in the top of this premium gin. Because the glass is so dark, all light is blocked. It's my go-to gin for a G&T. It's "Refreshing," to put it simply, like wearing short sleeves on a rainy day in a juniper-filled woodland, which is where I want to brew a G&T this weekend. Pack some ice, set up camp, have a G&T while listening to Stan Getz on the ascent.

Impressed by Hendrick’s
1 November 2022

I provided Hendrick’s Gin for my daughter’s wedding recently as it was a favorite of the groom. I had some mixed with 7up as that is what I prefer over mineral water or tonic. It was delicious! I was very impressed with thin over my usual gin choice. I had several drinks with Hendrick’s Gin and now I’ll be stocking Hendrick’s in my personal bar at home. Try it! You’ll be hooked!

Midsummer Solistice - perfection!
25 March 2021

I purchased a bottle of Midsummer Solstice about a year ago for my spouse. She enjoys G&Ts, I knew Hendrick's always makes excellent products, and I was intrigued by the purple bottle and its description. What a fortunate gamble! We were floored by the exquisite floral glory that was hidden therein! We are fortunate to be able to afford whatever spirits we like, but it is difficult for me to even imagine a gin more delicious and delicate than Midsummer Solstice. It is far superior to gins that I've paid twice as much or more for. The label says "Limited Release", and my spouse has made me return to buy another bottle, fearing that it might not be available at some point in the future.Midsummer Solstice has actually reduced the array of spirits I keep on hand, ... MoreI purchased a bottle of Midsummer Solstice about a year ago for my spouse. They don't hold a candle to this fine spirit.I have also gifted this gin to several family and friends, and everyone who has tasted it has said the same thing - it is the most lovely gin ever. The team at Hendrick's responsible for creating this libation should be sainted, and the recipe ought to be carved into a block of granite and preserved for the ages. It's that good.Thank you, Hendricks! Great product.

My spouse forced me to go back and buy another bottle because the label says "Limited Release," and she worries that it might not be available in the future. Simply because a Solstice G&T is *that much better* than so many other drinks that I can no longer be bothered with them, Midsummer Solstice has actually lowered the number of spirits I keep on hand, restricting the variety of cocktails I may prepare. They fall short of this magnificent spirit. I've given this gin as gifts to a number of family members and friends, and everyone who has tried it has said that it is the most beautiful gin ever. The Hendrick's crew that invented this drink ought to be venerated, and the formula should be inscribed on a block of granite and kept safe for all time. It truly is excellent. Thank you, Hendricks! fantastic stuff.

The best there is, essentially.
11 January 2023

One of my personal favorites in the spirit world as well as in gin. Crisp, cold, and downright silky. It exhibits every characteristic of a finely produced gin. citrus, coriander, juniper, and of course, cucumber. The cucumber is actually more subdued than some would have you believe, despite all the attention being paid to it. The junipers are becoming crisper due to chilling. This gin enters the winners circle with a lovely floral finish and a superb mouth feel. Without any additional garnish, I like this shaken and served over ice. It is simply so evenly balanced. In addition, it makes a fantastic martini and a standout gin and soda with a lemon twist.

The cucumber is not my favorite, but the gin is quite tasty!
11 January 2023

Last year, I was at a small neighborhood bar in the heart of Pennsylvania when Ellen, the bartender, invited me to try it and see what I thought. She offered me one free of charge with a cucumber garnish, which I find to be a really unusual addition to a gin cocktail. The garnish didn't really excite me as I sipped, but the gin was excellent. The smoothest and nicest gin I've ever drank. Hendrick's hits you with the perfect juniper berry overtones in both taste and aroma. It's the only gin I'll have these days, whether in a collins, martini, or with tonic and lime. Very nice and refreshing.
