Created at Hendrick's Gin Palace on the wild Ayrshire coast in south-west Scotland, the gin is inspired by the poetry of the ocean waves that enchant Lesley Gracie on her walks on the beach. Thanks to her knowledge of chemistry, her love of experimentation and her love of marrying botanicals, she has once again succeeded in extracting magical essences and capturing and bottling them in a new gin. Marine essences play an important role in the Neptunia Blend from Hendrick's. There are many varieties of seaweed, each with its own characteristic aroma. Over ten different types of seaweed were experimented with to find the best flavour profile. A mix of kelp and red algae in the gin finally won out.
