I was getting a lot of irritation from the Wilkinson Sword blades that I have, so I tried out the RK blades with the Henson AL13 and the Mühle R89. From the first shave and onward, I saw a significant drop in irritation/burn/bumps when using the RK blades. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to look into giving these a try. The price is very good, especially when compared with Feather or other expensive blades.

The blades are exceedingly sharp and shave wonderfully. They work perfectly with Henson's razor. I am not sure if it is due to the thickness of my whiskers or the blades themselves, but I have to replace them after every second shave. It is for that reason that I did not give them a 5 star review.

Kind of weird going to a single blade. Overall it does what it says it does it shaves with less irritation. As cheap as the blades are the price of the shaver will pay for itself down the line. So we’ll worth it to me. I bought 1 hundred blades that right there just saved me a couple hundred $$$ in blades for the year.
50 years of using an electric razor for the face and a cartridge razor for the head have come to an end - well, sort of... I purchased the Henson to get rid of all the plastic in the cartridge razor and get a closer shave than my electric one. My conclusion?1. You should only rinse your Henson with cold water. That cuts down on razor burn considerably. I won't go into the actual experience because lots of others have boosted the Henson's qualities about closeness, chatter and so on - and they are right of course.2. Takes about three passes to get a really close shave so you need time. The electric razor is quicker if you are in hurry.3. Use a really good shaving cream - I'm still learning...4. These blades give me a very close clean shave and I can get 5 to 6 days of single-pass shaving with one blade.
I've used these RK blades with several razors. With the Henson AL13, (Medium model) I get a consistently close shave, particularly when I shave my head (which I do every day). I also have had very good results with the Merkur 34C, the King C. Gillette, and a 1950s era Gillette SuperSpeed TTO. The only razor I had poor results with using the RK blades is a circa 1920 Gillette, an open-comb fairly aggressive razor with which not every modern blade is friendly. Since I shave my entire neck, face and scalp every day, my shaves-per-blade data is likely useless to others, so I won't bother. I'm consistently impressed with the New England Shaving Co pricing, delivery speed and customer care; their price on these blades is very reasonable, and since I have such good results ... MoreI've used these RK blades with several razors.
