Great, versatile stand. Good quality build and handy Allen key location to quickly whip it out in a portable situation.

This stand hasn't quite met my expectations. Despite folding down, it’s not as light or compact as I anticipated since only the rubber area of the stand can fold in. The setup and breakdown process is also more complicated than I’d hoped, requiring an Allen key, which makes it less ideal for anyone seeking a quick teardown after gigs. A more affordable Hercules model could have offered similar functionality. The idea to create a more compact product is excellent, but the result is yet to be desired. On a positive note, the stand is sturdy and well-made, with good overall quality.

Threaded Allen (hex) head bolts need to be screwed in every time for secure use. The engineering where they connect (plastic hinge connector) doesn't provide 100% alignment. Will not sustain constant assembly/disassembly...good for occasional demobilization. Not daily gigging musician IMHO.

This is a great stand, really stable and the quick trigger makes setting the height a breeze!
I use a 61 key MIDI controller. This standis compact when folded and fits in the gig bag along with my controller. It's lightweight so you may not want to use it for heavy keys like Motif.
Being a trusted brand like Hercules, it is well made, but it appears no sturdier than the no-name brand I was hoping to replace. The issue I have is I bought this specifically to facilitate a quick set-up and pull-down solution for gigs, as I assumed from the brief descriptions and pics that it would do so with ease, whilst folding down to fit in, say, a speaker stand type case. This is however, not the case. I had wrongly expected the arms would release and rotate by a lever or similar, but no, all 4 arms require tightening (and loosening after use) with the supplied Allen Key each time, therefore negating any time saved. Indeed, I could have loaded my normal stand into it's makeshift bag and carried it to the car by the time I undid the nuts and folded the arms ... MoreBeing a trusted brand like Hercules, it is well made, but it appears no sturdier than the no-name brand I was hoping to replace. So it does not "set(s) up and tears down easily" as advertised. I bought this online, and thankfully the retailer was understanding and let me return it, so I bought another Hercules product that I hope will do the job required. It's not the retailer's fault that the manufacturer is a little deceptive in the description regarding ease of setup.
I've tried other brands from guitar center and they are complete garbage keyboard stands. Finally found this stand and I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. Super simple assembly (it basically comes assembled), it took me 30 seconds, and you can just tell the construction of the unit is well done. Works perfectly and looks great!FINALLY I GOT WHAT I PAYED FOR! NICE FEELING!HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
MF should check these used items more carefully. This stand was listed as "mint". However, one of the plastic leg braces was broken, but had been hand-pieced back together.I was going to send unit back, but was able to repair with super glue. Since this item mainly will remain stationary in my studio, I decided to keep it.Music123, please take closer look at your "used" gear.
