Hermes Terre d'Hermès

This is a very mature, classy, sophisticated and slightly mysterious scent. I would not recommend blind buying this because it is definitely one that you have to spray on the skin and let it sit. Initially I get the ginger for a few minutes but once it sets I get a lot of tuberose, bitter orange, jasmine and Sandalwood. It gives me Carolina Herrera good girl vibes - very mature and floral, slightly powdery. (Good girl is a bit more wearable in my opinion). It smells good but I am not over the moon about it. A warm, lovely fragrance

I am extremely picky with perfume, most feel too floral, too strong, or too ‘old lady’ for me… but Twilly is perfect. It’s warm and comforting, it makes me feel happy when I put it on. It lasts well but is never overpowering. I looked up the notes online and it looks like a few of them are tuberose, orange blossom, sandalwood and vanilla. Just such a calm, comforting fragrance while also being rich and sophisticated. I’m puzzled why some other reviewers said it was very floral, this is not how it smells to me at all. It has been my go-to everyday fragrance for years and I realized it was high time I left a review! (And I just noticed Hermes has some other variations, can’t wait to try those as well!) An absolutely beautiful fragrance.

Beautiful scent

I was worried based on others reviews that I wouldn’t like this scent. But I blind bought it anyways along with Eau Poivrée, and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. This is lovely! Not too strong, over powering, or headache inducing. This can definitely be a signature scent. I don’t find this fragrance ‘mature’ as others have mentioned rather sweet, classy, and elevated. For reference I’m 26 years old. On my skin the initial spray is clean almost detergent like, then the dry down is a beautiful tuberose, vanilla and sandalwood mix; absolutely divine. This fragrance is very well blended and does not smell like a lot of designer fragrances out there at the moment. Beautiful, soapy , spicy, fresh . Love it

I really like this perfume . It’s definitely not something I would normally go for . Honestly, it smells fresh and clean , really really reminds me of the Irish spring soap ( possibly the blue one but maybe the green not sure) and tuberose and musk the ginger adds a little spiciness . I mostly get the soap smell . I don’t get powder at all . I had a sample I finally tried and then it grew on me and I bought a bottle . Great performance, it’s a little strong , I prefer strong. A little goes a long ways and it stays for hours . I’m very pleased with this one and I am curious about the other twilly / Hermes scents now

So, so bad

I don't know why so many people love this. For about half a second you think it might smell okay, because the first note that hits you is a pleasant floral. But then, bam! The lychee smacks you in the face. It feels like somebody slapped me with a tropical flavored airhead candy or something. So overpowering and sickly fruity. The only 2 good things - one, it does last. Six hours in and I can still smell it on my forearm. Two - once it fully dries down and the lychee and the floral fades, it smells kind of nice. Whatever powdery musk is at the bottom is pleasant. But the first 4 to 5 hours or so I hated it. Definitely not worth it. I received a sample of this fragrance, and this is what I thought:1. I’ve smelled this style time and time again.2. It reminds me of when I was a kid/teenager.3. It smells like canned spray found in drugstores.4. I’m 36, and I wouldn’t wear this fragrance. My mom might wear it.5. It stayed on my skin even after showering.6. It still smells powdery and very floral even after a shower.7. While it’s not the most terrible thing I’ve ever smelled, it would annoy me to keep smelling it all day.8. I received this Parfum for free from influenster and Hermes in exchange for my honest review. So let me start by saying I fully committed and sprayed on my arm which I instantly regretted. I kept hoping it would get better but it did not. I tried to scrub it off my arm but it still lingered. This smell is very strong, and is much more of a mature woman smell. To me it instantly reminded me of my mammaw who smoked and would always spray her perfume prior to going into church. I swear it smelled just like that. I normally am a huge fan of sandalwood which this is suppose to have hints of however this scent is a hard pass for me. I will say that this could smell great on someone else throughout the day. [Rewarded Review] Sophisticated and youthful

I've had my eye on the original Twilly for a while and decided to try the new variations before buying. The ladies at the Hackensack perfume counter were extremely helpful and made the selection process fun.This scent is not for the faint-of-heart. It is bold in a good way. I tried Ginger and Poivre Twilly (both had top notes like their names) and several other suggestions from the ladies. When I had it narrowed down to 2, trying them on my wrists quickly brought my decision to the original Twilly. The scent lasted through the remainder of the afternoon.I'm happy I spent the time to smell before purchasing instead of (nose-)blindly buying online. Twilly is a great addition to my fragrance collection.

I got the tiny bottle of this in the Hermes perfume set as a birthday gift from my best friend who knows I love perfumes. my favorite for years has been mademoiselle by coco chanel and I feel like this is similar but more powdery and a less sweet/floral. it has great lasting power. I would describe the scent on my skin as floral and a little bit detergent-like (I see where the “powdery/soap-scented reviews are coming from) but in a really good way. like fresh laundry with a really nice floral fabric softener but in perfume form. I don’t get why twilly got any bad reviews - people that tried it who said that it smelled terrible may have something wrong with their olfactory sense. When it first came out, it was billed as a young fresh scent and it is absolutely heavenly. I’ve had many many compliments wearing it. It does not smell like a grandma or give anyone a headache. At work or out and about I have always had people ask me what perfume I am wearing and where they can purchase it. This is my go to signature sent and I am not an old lady lol. A little bit goes a long way and it’s one of Hermes best inventions. I’ve even had students in my class tell me how they love coming into my room because I smell so good.
