I really did love this back because of the unique sleek design at the front. However, I only purchased this backpack because it was shaped of a square and almost looked like the survey adult sized backpack I had when I entered university in 2nd year back in 2016. I've been looking for this bag for years and the closest one to it is this backpack that I recently purchased. It's almost the same. Compact. Can fit my laptop, textbooks, water bottle etc... and still has that zipper that keeps everything safe in the first pocket. What I didn't like about it was the strap. It's not soft. It does feel lighter but this strap... If I carry anything heavy it hurts my back, not like the other backpack. If herschel reads this... Comfortable, looks cool- professional, not like a kids backpack. I like the leather hardware. Also, fabric stays clean and is water-resistant, padding is great, side pockets hold water bottles snugly, interior pockets are organized and roomy. Overall, it’s a great bag.I took off 1 star because the buckles to adjust the straps are plastic (at this price-point I’d expect metal, as with my backpack from everlane).

I got my first city backpack almost 10 years ago believe it or not and it was in great condition until the single solid rubber strap broke. I’ve washed it countless times and I guess it ran its life! I contacted Herschel and was so happy to hear there was a lifetime warranty and I could get a new one to replace my favourite bag!!! I’m so very grateful although the quality has unfortunately gone down. There is no padding in the straps which is the biggest disappointment ( for someone the travels with two laptops everyday) it’s not comfortable at all and I’m debating on bringing it to a shoe/bag repair to change out the cheap shoulder straps. The single front snap strap is made of a thin leather type material and the snap isn’t nearly as strong. I had this bag for a year before the single strap broke. The bag is a good size and the external zip pocket is useful. The main problem is that the only closure for the bag is the single magnet strap. The magnet pops open if the bag is full and the single strap is under too much pressure;hence why is broke after only a year. The laptop sleeve is fine;but there is no internal pocket so everything sloshes around inside the bag. Otherwise a nice bag.

This is the worst designed bag I’ve ever bought. Three reasons why.1. It doesn’t stay shut. The magnet clasp isn’t strong enough. When I cycle to work with my laptop in the bag the clasp pops open every time I cycle over even the slightest bump so I have to stop. And shut the bag again.2. The clasp flies up and hits me in the face when I open the flap. Because the strap is so stiff3. Undoing the buckle to extend or shorten the strap at the front is really hard as the strap is so stiff.Don’t buy. I’d like my money back.

The shoulder bag is perfect, very beautiful and practical. However, I actually wanted to buy it in black and only realised after ordering that I had Windsor Wine. Unfortunately, the picture does not match the chosen colour. It would be nice if the system and correspond to the colours of the corresponding products!
