Herschel Classic XL Backpack - Black

Material Quality:thickAppearance:GoodColour:amazingThe bag is good! When deciding on choosing what to buy, I decided for simple and less pockets, yet the quality is still there. I hope this will last for years tho! Not the bag for those who are looking for multiple pockets and functionality.

I liked the backpack. it’s cool, the material is nice in my opinion. Good back to school backpack. To be honest the XL size is nice but NOT as spacious as jane sport backpack. if you want a backpack for school, i recommend any other brand. If you know you won’t carry a lot of things, this backpack is good. Overall though, great purchase and if you want to try it, i’d say give it a shot. if you don’t like it return it or get the one you’re comfortable with. The price is a bit much but again, the backpack isn’t bad.

"Wear and Tear" Prone

Bought this bag for freshman year in college to keep my technology safe from the elements walking to and from my classes on campus. Although not "weather proof" I did not have any trouble or concerns about arriving to my class, after serval minutes of weather exposure, with wet or damaged contents. However, the bag does not hold up well and is not something that is deemed "warranty" related. I would buy a Herschel bag again, I own several, but would not buy any bag made from their "weather resistant" material. It looks terrible after normal use and needs to be discarded based on its appearance alone.

Better

This back pack is nice. Not sure how durable it will be yet but my girl loves it. She has wanted a Herschel back pack for a while now. We got a kids youth one and it was pretty small to fit all her winter gear plus her lunch box/extra clothes etc… Not quite sure how this one will pan out but I don’t want to return another one. Here are pics for people to see. I was going to go with the Retreat one but I didn’t like how the front pocket had no zipper and it was pretty much the same size.Anyway, overall, we will see how this backpack works out. Super fast delivery though for our replacement which was awesome. Oh and just a heads up with this company, if you want to return something here they charge you a $5.00 dollar fee to get money back. Cute print, perfect for school

Great, sturdy backpack. My daughter loves it! The brown is a rich, coppery brown in person. The inside is lined with a cute red and white pattern and the straps are nice and cushioned. There is a backpack that is almost identical but it is not quite as nice as this one. The Classic XL has the laptop section, red interior, and is roomier overall. The only con I would say is it could use more pockets. There's really just the big front pocket and the side water bottle pockets.

Excellent quality!

Purchased this last year for my middle-schooler who kept roughly 20 lbs of "school stuff" in the backpack daily, including a laptop. Normally I have to purchase backpacks multiple times per year, but not with Herschel! Not only did the bag last the entire year, the only signs of wear and tear were minimal and on the outside of the front pocket where it was rubbed against floors, walls, etc., repeatedly. By the end of the school year there were no holes, rips, and everything functioned like new! The only reason I bought a new one is because they didn't want a printed one for this year. Assuming the quality is the same, I would highly recommend!!

Fantastic Quality

After getting through 2 bags in one year at secondary school, I think we finally have a bag that will last. You can feel the strength and quality of the bag immediately when comparing to other cheaper brands. The bag is spacious for books, a laptop, a metal water bottle, pencil case, snack box and raincoat. Comfortable to wear with padded straps. Overall my son and I are very happy indeed. Thank you!

I purchased this bag because

I purchased this bag because I work in southeast Alaska in the summertime. It's a very large rainforest and rains about 90 percent of the season. I do lots of walking and have to carry things to and from in the rain and I'm excited to give this bag a shot. It's made of real weatherproof material. I will be trying it out this week and have high expectations!

great upgrade!
