The bag is amazing for a few days interstate travelling. I used it for my trip to Melbourne, and it helps beat the 7kg weight limit, as this bag is less than a kilo. The build quality is good, although there are some stiches that could definitely be better. But overall, it is very good for the price.

Handy shoe storage that can be tucked away for extra room or used for a pair of shoes you would rather not have in with your clothes.I had money off with my John Lewis card and also bought the bag in a pink colour, which was much reduced, so it was a very good purchase and I lookforward to using them.

I bought this one with the butterfly pattern for long weekend trips, and really like the feature of the separate shoe storage for my long hikes. The quality is excellent, however there is a total lack of any kind of small pockets in this bag. Nothing on the outside, nothing inside. Huh. I need storage for all the small items that inevitably come with a weekend away, so had to send it back. Happy that Herschel was hassle free in this area, however keep in mind you are responsible for mailing costs, which cost me extra 50 bones.

This is my first Herschel bag. I have refrained from purchasing their bags in the past because I was not a fan of the quality and functionality for the price. I only bought this because I was lucky enough to catch a gorgeous print while the bag was on sale. I wish the duffle had more pockets, but for the quality, I’m satisfied with my purchase.
Excellent carry-on travel bag. I used this for a 2-week overseas trip. Sturdy and easy to pack, quality fabric. The separate section for shoes, dirty washing, etc is handy. I used packing cubes inside and they stacked in nicely. If it had an internal or external pocket, that would make it even better. The one drawback for me is there is no strap to place over the handle of a suitcase to keep it from slipping off, then it would be the most perfect bag.
It came very quick. The quality (as usual) is great and sturdy. It held so much and for a person who overpacks it was great for my one night stay. I can't wait to use it when I go traveling more. I love the shoe compartment so it is separated from my clothes and toiletries. The only downside to it is it doesn't have pockets inside but again it wasn't much of a problem because I separate things into smaller bags! Definitely a great long-term buy that will be used often!

As a bonus it also has a separate shoe compartment. The latter is sufficient for a pair of walking boots and easily cleaned. When not used by shoes, I use it for power adapters, battery's and so on - it only takes up as much space in the main compartment as it needs.By packing in much more than I should the bag has proved to be durable and take the punishment I have given it. There is no side padding so if that is an issue then may be you should audition some alternatives. There are no additional pockets or zippers at all which is quite unbelievable for a duffel bag. The shoe compartment is an okay idea, but it take up 1/3 of the space in the bag. They expect you to pay for returning an item which costs 1/4-1/3 of the price you already paid for the item. I purchased this bag for my son’s 18th birthday gift. Based on the brands reputation for quality, I hoped it would be a piece he can carry for years to come. The straps are a very poor quality faux leather. Color is “off”. Causes the entire bag to appear cheap. It’s NOT a cheap bag. I would have expected genuine leather for this price. The canvas is superior quality. Very substantial. I’ve not returned it…yet.
