I bought this backpack for freshman year. I was planning on using this backpack for the rest of high school since I’ve heard Herschel backpacks are durable and wonderful. After a lot of research, I still didn’t research enough cause clearly I DID NOT KNOW the mid volume would be smaller than the normal size. I know, very stupid of myself, I admit. In the future I recommend pointing out in bold words in the description that mid volume is smaller than classic for people like me of course! The backpack is kinda stiff so you would have to use it more for it to expand I guess? I hope it does! The zippers r very stiff so be careful to not scrape your hydroflask. Other than that, I have no complaints. Except for the stupidity and the stiffness of the bag!

I bought this backpack in November 2018 during the Black Friday sale. I absolutely love this backpack. When I opened the backpack for the first time, I thought it was tiny and would not hold all of my stuff. I was definitely wrong! This backpack holds all of my supplies including my laptop, my lunch pail, envelopes, and water bottle. It also has a neat pouch that carries my pens, chapstick and other necessities. The straps are super comfortable and does not hurt my back or cause any pain even when I carry things for hours. This backpack is a must if you commute to work in any way and need something stylish yet sophisticated.

I was excited to get this bag. I think it looks very sharp and it seems to be well made.However, the shoulder straps on this bag are incredibly uncomfortable. They're very thick and stiff, and they jab into the sides of my arms (bicep area). If I attempt to cross my arms, it's actually quite painful. The straps are straight instead of curving. I did a quick survey of other backpacks around my house and none of them are designed like this. I have been using Herschel backpacks for years and they never break, or even wear and tear. The quality is stiff and amazing. I only get new ones since I want new colors hahaha. Their backpacks are really high quality and are probably the best you can get for this price range. The style is also simple enough to stand the test of time, though of course you can also opt for funner colors.
I used to have a one shoulder bag as I have a disability and one shoulder can’t take any weight, however, was not happy about having to squeeze things into a triangular shaped bag. I saw a man with a Herschel back pack on my commute home one day and he was kind enough to tell me all about including the pockets and which size to get. He also has it because of a shoulder issue. I have noticed the colour range and looks of these bags but wasn’t sure if they were right for my disability. I then found the perfect size, shoulder strap and colour for me. I’m pleased that it balances well and doesn’t pull on my shoulder. The only criticism I have that it is big enough to have one more zip pocket inside for valuables. Other than that, really pleased with it.
Hi , Hershel Supply Co. Backpack are good for city use durable well made, no outside water or umbrella holder on the sides, inside just mostly open space not exactly laptops compartments or very superficial might be for lighter device like thin tablets or something ,rugged, comfortable .Recommend
The bag looks very slim and neat no matter how much I put into it. The style and the look goes really well with most of my outfit, both formal and casual looks.The only thing I would suggest is the keyhook couldn’t stretch, which means you always have to take it out when using the key. For that, I got myself an additional strentchy key ring to go with it (for a girl with nice nails, I’d prefer not have to use my nails to hook/unhook the keys every time I use it).Also, it’s be helpful to be able to zip open/close from both sides of the bag. At the moment, the zip’s on the single side.I appreciated the shipping service, especially the speed and tracking service.
This is a sturdy, well built, and nice-looking backpack. I gave it 4 stars, not because of the quality, but because of its tall and narrow build. Not the most practical unless you have a large, long laptop or tall, narrow things to carry. I prefer a backpack that is deeper and carries more at the bottom. This bag requires that you pack going upwards, which isn't practical for my purposes. Otherwise, good Herschel quality and looks.

The holding capacity on this bad boy holds everything you may need for a trip to work or around town. If you do decide to purchase this piece of art, it should be known that there is only one zipper that opens the large compartment, so if you are used to a two zipper backpack, it may take some time to get used too. Also, the front pocket is only a pocket and does not provide any organizational needs. This is a downside, therefore, the 4 stars, but does not take away from the quality of the bag. I would still recommend this bag to someone looking to upgrade their bag to a more work friendly environment bag or just want to travel the town in style. I got this backpack for school, which I don't reccomend. It's okay for just going places and carring not a lot of stuff. But the zipper is really sharp and iv'e cut my knuckles multiple times. There is no water bottle pocket, it may seem like there is one on the inside, but it is so small doesn't even fit a small plastic water botle. the laptop slave is so loose that my laptop falls forward, into the middle of the bag. Only two pockets, a big one and small one. No orginizers. the leather zippers tabs have fallen off. zipper on one side only, with makes it hard to close when full. Which happens alot because it is so small.
