Great gloves! Would recommend potential buyers check their hand length as well as the width. I first got a size which fit based on my hand circumference but felt too short. When I looked up Hestra's hand length recommendations I needed the bigger size. Clearly shows what I knew that I have weirdly shaped hands!

Chose these gloves over the plethora of different options because I kept hearing about the Hestra brand and I have no regrets. Comfortable, warm and extremely durable for skiing. While they may cost a lot, I can foresee myself using these for years to come.

Bullet proff top of the line ski gloves. Spending the entire winter skiing 5 days a week at Alta, Snowbird, Solitude & Snowbasin In UT. Does not get more diverse & demanding. Never entered my mind to purchase a different glove

I went for the Gore-tex version of this glove thinking the extra waterproofing would help. However, it actually makes the glove worse for one very important reason. No detachable liner. The normal Heli version of this glove has a detachable liner which achieves two things; it can be removed to be easily dried AND for the price of the Gore-tex version you can buy an extra liner to keep warm & easily swap out on the slopes. The Gore-tex version effectively seals in any moisture that gets inside the glove and it's very difficult to thoroughly dry it out. This makes it a pain to use on back-to-back days and likely to get wet & cold on longer days.I swapped this for the Heli 3-finger glove & an extra liner, which is warmer, nearly as waterproof when properly waxed, ... MoreI went for the Gore-tex version of this glove thinking the extra waterproofing would help. I highly recommend buying the normal Heli version of your choice instead (mitt, 3-finger, glove) and an extra liner that you keep stashed near your base layers for warmth.
This is my second pair of Hestra Gloves, I already own the Fall Line glove and absolutely love it in cold dry conditions. With most of my skiing happening in the coast mountains was looking for something that would keep me dry when the temperature goes up and the snow gets a little soggy. I pulled these out the other day during a particularly wet snow storm and was very impressed at how dry and breathable they are. Looking forward to spring skiing with these puppies!
With the mild winter we've had so far this year in Alberta, I don't feel like I have really been able to put these gloves to the test yet. For the days I have worn them, they are warmer than any other pair of gloves I currently own. I find myself switching to thinner gloves, otherwise my hands start to sweat. The quality of the glove is unmatched and the size is true when compared to the sizing guide. They are very pricey, but a glove of this caliber will make freezing rocky mountain hikes much more comfortable.
Nice quality leather, very comfortable, decently warm but I do not use when colder than -10C. Have not had any issues with water getting through although I use other gloves in warmer and wet conditions. Quite pleased with purchase. They should last many years.
I have a drawer full of gloves and mittens. I thought what the heck let’s try another pair, I have never found a warm pair of gloves until I purchased these! The leather is soft and comfortable, I even told my friends that don’t ski about these great gloves!! I have finally found a great pair of gloves! Thank you!!
I own two other Hestra products, and they are all excellent. I wanted a warm, waterproof glove for my long winter walks, and these are great. I am still waiting to see how they perform in extreme cold weather, but I have no doubt they will be warm. I used Hestra's measurement guide and it showed that I was a size 9. I went with the 10 for a slightly bigger fit, in case I decide to add a thin liner for the extreme cold days. Got these during a black Friday sale, at an excellent price. Altitude has great prices and fast delivery, as always!
Right out of the box, not impressed. I typically wear size xl. size 10 was the right fit. Thought I probably spent to much. I applied the provided waterproofing to the leather. Five days later the gloves were tested. All day snowstorm in Michigan, average 25 deg. F. Total of six hours outside, 2 hour intervals doing snow removal. Fell in love with fit and comfort. No longer in doubt, money well spent.Rob
