Finally found this! So excited to add it to my collection!
Brilliant sweet nectar with fresh apples on the button. Dim cherry and sherried notes hit my sense of taste promptly dull chocolate and only a wisp of bug. Generally phenolic peat for me on the principal taste. Including a trickle of water just brings out increasingly nectar notes. It'ss business as usual with the dribble of water for me. Including more water just draws out the smell of the malt pound when you take the refinery visit. The hakushu brings dull heated crusty fruit-filled treat notes though the Yamazaki brings the darker chocolate and sherried takes note of all in the nose.
Nose - Nose certainly mirrors the age in you get traces of cowhide and sawdust. Customary Hibiki notes of a botanical nectar despite everything exist except over ready pears and ready plums show up as well. Taste - Light flavor a fruity oak. Somewhat smelly like persistently matured wood earthy colored sugar and cinnamon simmered pear and apple skins. Finish - Waiting sweet oaky harshness. Black out dull golden oaked apple juice pleasantness and a trace of matured muscat sweet-acrid. Score - 91/100
Gloriousy whisky! An absolute banger!
Attempted this at the Yamazaki refinery. Fabulous. Was intricate yet not excessively so. Rugged with a bit of flavor with a pleasant long oak finish.
