I bought this about 2 or 3 weeks ago and have been very satisfied. I’m an engineering student and cary a lot of heavy stuff all the time around campus and I wanted something that would be easier on my back. Even though it can’t quite fit AS much as my old Nike backpack I don’t mind because I can still fit everything that I need and despite that I can definitely tell it’s easier on my back. I think it’s the straps and the shape of the backpack and how the weight is distributed. I personally really like it. And it shipped super fast and was not expensive at all. I’ve always had good experiences with High Sierra.

I bought this in July for my 6th graders upcoming year. She's been in school 3 weeks and the problem I was worried about has already happened. I even checked reviews and asked questions from others and got feedback. $55 is a lot to pay for a backpack that wont last the year. The side mesh pocket for water bottle has already begun ripping. She uses a smooth Sips child water bottle. Aside from that the backpack is ok just a bit too small for all her stuff some days.

Awesome compact bag! Great backpack if you’re looking for something smaller. Fits my laptop and large hydro flask, but not much more which is perfect for me. I think it’s best as a laptop bag with some extra room, and not necessarily for school with lots of books and binders. My previous high sierra backpack lasted me 10 years, and bought a new one because of the quality. Impressed so far!

It feels comfortable to me. The main compartment is narrow but deep enough. My only problem is that it only has one deep compartment besides the laptop sleeve. The section with the organisation pockets for pens, etc is shallow and when loaded, the bag has a concave look in the middle and I find it annoying. This compartment should have been extended to the full depth like the main compartment. That would make this bag complete. Also, I got it with signs of being used on the inside, wasn't happy about that.
I bought this backpack for college. I am in the nursing program so the need to carry a lot of books to classes is necessary. I was initially carrying them in a bag that went over my shoulder but I decided a backpack was needed. I purchased this backpack because of the various pockets that allow a nice safe area for my laptop to go in that is away from the books and other items. The straps are nicely padded for comfort. This bag can easily carry my laptop, books, and supplies for school. I am pleased with this purchase.
I got this as a gift through work and so far I like it a lot.I especially like the laptop hammock, which is designed tokeep the laptop from hitting the floor if you set your backpackdown on a hard surface. I added my own panning underneath thehammock just in case it is sit down too hard. I also like the manypockets.I have not actually use this for a trip yet so I will know betterhow much I like it after I have used it.
I bout got this backpack about 2 years ago, and about a year in the straps already started to wear and not hold their form. I liked all the storage space, especially for my laptop and ipad for school but it overall did not hold up well. The straps also caused my back to hurt a lot, which I hadn’t realized until I took it on a flight and my shoulders and back were killing me, even though my backpack was not full. Overall I had higher hopes because one of my friends likes High Sierra, but I think especially if you have shoulder or back pain ever I would not go with this.

I love this backpack! This backpack is extremely well built and feels very high quality. It holds my 18inch laptop, tablet, chargers, glasses, sunglasses, cellphone, keys and water with no issues at all.I mostly use this mostly for school purposes to carry around my notebooks and books, etc. and it is still able to hold plenty more and still be a very comfortable wear. This actually provides great support for my back. It truly feels like I’m holding nothing at all, no joke!I am so impressed with the High Sierra Backpack. So happy with my High Sierra Swerve Pro backpack.This has to be one of the best made backpacks Ive had the pleasure of owning.Not only is there room for your laptop, but it has a safety hammock in the bottom so your laptop is not being hit on the ground etc.It is also very well line!There are several pockets in the front, one bigger pocket for other things beside a laptop and even a nice lined pocket up top for your sunglasses or cellphone. The lining on this is very soft as to protect those types of items.I love that this backpack also has reflective material on it that can be seen during the day and at night.The zippers are well made and strong and I love that they all have a little grip for easier opening/closing.Extremely happy with this backpack!
