The backpack seemed to be very well made and had a number of flexible and functional features. But I had issues with several of the other design features. The travel handle that goes over the roller bar came up too high and made it difficult to grab the roller bag handle. There were two zippers for the back computer compartment that did not make sense to me. One zipper for the back section would have been great.

I love High Sierra bags. I’ve literally took them around the globe. I wanted a replacement pack. My old XBT pack was perfect. It had 4ea separate main compartments and a bunch of other sub compartments. Everything I use for work fit exactly. I ordered the new pack and it’s smaller, it doesn’t have separate compartments, and there’s one less compartment. The bag is too small and all the compartments are connected. It sucks! The new bag is still sitting on the dining room table. I can’t use it.

I got this backpack because my previous High Sierra backpack finally gave out (straps ripped) after 15 years of heavy textbooks, too many accidental drops on the floor, and over stuffing to be my only carry-on. The XBT Daypack was the closest I could find to my beloved backpack and I look forward to another 15+ years with this new one. My 17" laptop fits quite well in the cushioned section, love the many pockets for organization, and the breathable mesh on the back.

I've owned this backpack for around 7 years. I us it as my briefcase for work, so it goes everywhere I go and gets thrown around frequently. I have traveled to Asia and Europe more times than I can remember and this backpack is also frequently used a carry on luggage. It's starting to show signs of wear but is still fully functional. I'll replace it with an identical backpack.
The warranty on the product is awesome! This is my third one as I’m pretty rough on them. The second was a warranty replacement for the first. I have to carry heavy loads and the backpack handles the weight well! Ventilation and comfort when on my back are good in hot environments. I recommend this pack!!
I bought this to replace the backpack that I wore out. Even though this backpack is well constructed, it's considerably smaller and more expensive than the one I replaced. I would have loved to purchase the same backpack that I had if it were available but I had to settle with this one that is more expensive and smaller.
I buy one of these bags every year for my son who is at College.Best bag ever.Before this bag, he used to go through many bags due to ripped shoulders straps and fraying. Those bags werent strong enough for carrying big amounts of books and a laptoo. Definitely when carrying a laptop all day, these types of bags are needed.Strong, Sturdy and it looks good.
I bought this backpack for commuting to work. Fits my 17" laptop slides right in plenty of space. The backpack is comfortable feels good on my back with a heavy laptop fits everything else I carry nicely straps are sturdy and handle is reinforced with wire cable. It not coming apart. Fabric seems very durable and water resistant. I hope the mesh helps keep my sister cool. That is a feature I have loved about my High Sierra backpack. Also it appears to have similar padding against your back and shoulders. My own High Sierra is by far the most comfortable pack I’ve ever owned. She loves it so far and feels it will last her a lifetime. She’s a master gardener who will be carrying tools, water, possibly a large reference book. There will definitely be space for all of that and more.
I got a great deal when I purchased a very similar High Sierra Daypack 5 yrs ago. Still in excellent condition, it has traveled internationally with me on planes, ships and trains. The most practical bag in my collection for 100 reasons, I commend High Sierra for such excellence. It is about to travel another 8K miles faithfully carrying my most important docs, laptop et al/
