The cat was getting fat on the hill science food I was buying and decided to try this product to stop Ill health with excessive weight and it appears to be working if I may project a touch early in that he eats less. It might be because its not as tasty or that hes more easily satisfied. This is a work in progress. Time will tell I inherited this cat from my brother who passed away and I love him to pieces. Good good cat! Really good cat!, and big too.

Our 12yo cat has a mouth cancer and as a result has an ulcer in her mouth that is making it hard for her to eat. Our vet initially recommended kitten food to help her regain some weight and we tried ever premium and super premium brand we could get our hands on. This is the only brand where the chunks are quite big, and as a result does not get stuck in the ulcer in her mouth. We know eventually the cancer will get the better of her and we will have to put her down, but while she is happily eating the vet is happy and we are enjoying our time with her. This might be kitten food but it is literally giving us more time with our old lady. Couldn't be happier!

My cat always prefer this wet food but recently the quality hasn't been consistent. Sadly I had to throw 40+ bags away because the ones I opened my cat would not touch it. Lucky I have spared ones from another order. Petcircle's staff was as helpful as usual after I raised this issue with them. Hopefully, the next batch is of good quality!

Was recommended this by a shop assistant as decent quality and healthier for our cat. She's a rescue and was being fed cheap stuff. No issues with kitty's tummy changing over, she is happily waiting to be fed each night. She has dry food in the morning and wet food at night. She likes the ocean fish flavour too. Doesn't have a strong stink (even the fish) which is good because she gets fed in the kitchen.
I have six cats here and we do "treaties" with them all every night. During the day they have access to dry food, but at night, they get some canned food as a treat. I usually use one 5.5 oz can (they only like certain ones) and they generally do finish it all between them. Some of them are picky, others will eat almost anything. This time the sample package was about half the size of the normal can (2.8 oz.), but I wanted to see if they all liked it, so I split it up between them all anyway. I lined them up so they could be observed and from what I could see, ALL of them approved. The pickiest one ate about half of what she was given, but that was normal for her. And this time I didn't have to gather all the other dishes to combine them into one for someone to ... MoreI have six cats here and we do "treaties" with them all every night. And this time I didn't have to gather all the other dishes to combine them into one for someone to finish. When they were done, it was all gone. So I would have to say that the food itself was given a five star rating by all of my panelists. It was moist, it had good structure, nice gravy, and it was apparently quite tasty! The only reason I did not give it a complete five star rating is that I looked it up online to see what it would cost to buy and it contains half the amount of a normal 5.5 oz can at double the price of a normal can, so that would put it a bit out of my price range with all these cats to feed. Instead of spending about 50 cents per can it would cost closer to $2.00 for the same amount of food. But then again, the product itself is excellent!
I recently brought in two kittens who had been in a foster home - their food was not agreeing with them, so I switched them to Science Diet (which my adult cats ate for 15 years, until they required prescription food). I was very happy to see the kitten wet food! But these are "tender chunks" - the chunks are huge! Especially after bringing home a third baby, 6 weeks younger than the first two, I find that I'm having to mash up the chunks before serving. Honestly, they love it the most if I put it in the blender... I trust Science Diet nutrition and their food - but they really need to make the kitten food dry kibbles and wet food chunks smaller. These are literally the same size as the adult wet food chunks.
I'll do my best to translate for her. Hill's Science Diet Tender Chicken Dinner looked "tasty" from my perspective. Not much different than any other 'cuts in gravy' type food that we've tried. Lily certainly liked it but it was a much larger package than I usually give her, so I had to split it in half over two meals. That is one of the reasons why I gave it four stars instead of five. I would have preferred a package half the size and had the option of giving her two if I wanted, instead of trying to save the other half of the food in a package not meant for that. Concern about a pet's weight is becoming ever more important and having a smaller container, or a container that's meant to be resealed, I believe would be in HIll's best interest. Concern about a pet's weight is becoming ever more important and having a smaller container, or a container that's meant to be resealed, I believe would be in HIll's best interest. As I said, Lily liked it, but she likes every wet food she's ever had so, while her opinion matters, it's not as important to me as the...*ahem* "result". Suddenly adding a new food to a cat's diet can sometimes cause stomach upset or unpleasant bowel movements and this foo absolutely did not, which was excellent. It meant that, if I wanted to change my cat's regular diet to Hill's, there wouldn't need to be any transition period. All in all, Hill's Science Diet Tender Chicken Dinner is a very good product. If it came in a smaller sized container, and were a comparable price to my current wet food, I'd definitely consider changing.
My cats are literally obsessed. I used to get them Fancy Feast Ocean grilled fillet cans and they loved that. But it went out of stock at a lot of places. So decided to try a better brand but same flavour and my cats devour this wet food. They meow and carry on while I'm putting it into their bowls as if they are telling me to hurry up. Bowls are always empty and licked clean. The cats just love this food. 5 stars. Highly recommended. Great quality.
We tried Hills Savory Turkey, Chicken, and Salmon varieties in our search for a palatable food that was relatively low in phosphorus and protein. Our 14 year old PJ needs a kidney friendly, lower in phosphorus and protein, food and he ate each variety reasonably well for a short while. However he tired of each and never was overly enthused about them. They have a gummy consistency with hard bits of meat mixed in This tuna version contains tender morsels in a good amount of gravy. In deference to his missing some teeth I mash the morsels with a fork and add a little warm water. With his meal warmed in the microwave he's chowing down and eating with gusto. He's cleaning his plate. He is a cat so this could change anytime but so far the tuna is a real success.
I wanted to say thank you to Hill's Pet for supporting shelter animals. This past Saturday, we adopted Claire, an FELV positive cat who was rescued from the floods in Oklahoma and sent to The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Maine to give her the best chance at adoption. We met Claire during the Clear the Shelters campaign on August 17th, and we just couldn't let her continue to live in isolation at the shelter. She is THE BEST! I think she is grateful we brought her home, and within two days she was confidently roaming our entire house and had befriended our very patient 9-year old Shih Tzu. The only company represented at the event to aid the shelter in their effort was Hills Pet. We were given a bag of dry food, cans of wet food, and other much appreciated items that were donated by your company. Unbeknownst to them, we were already feeding our dog your 7 plus formula, but you have now also guaranteed that our new family member, Claire, will be a Hills Pet too. Again, we thank you, Claire thanks you, and I am sure The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland is extremely grateful. They placed over 40 cats in new homes at the Clear the Shelters Event and they all went home with food donated by your company :) Sincerely, Gigi Park
