Got sucked in by the great price and 7 star energy rating. Set it up at home, plugged it in and left it overnight to cool. Upon opening the fridge door in the morning discovered two big cracks on both sides of the internal lining. Called hisense who didn’t want a bar of our complaint and blamed us for the cracks. We hadn’t put anything in the fridge yet. We had only turned it on. Called Harvey Norman and they were wonderful. Told us to bring it back to them and grab a replacement and they would deal with hisense. Six months later the replacement fridge stopped working and was making a horrible gurgling noise. Ridiculously hard to change the door side despite what I was told. Instructions that came with the fridge are unclear and hard to follow. Online videos from Hisense.com are just as bad. a flimsy plastic aesthetic part has broken off where a bolt hinge is meant to go meaning I now have a disassembled fridge in the middle of my kitchen for a week while Hisense customer service has been blaming me. Customer service from Hisense has been a nightmare. Apparently according to Hisense I should have had a Hisense agent change the doors and now I have voided my warranty. Absolutely furious. Would not recomend Hisense brand.

Good fridge but one major flaw

While it seems like a great deal, especially given the 7-star energy rate, there is a major design/manufacturing flaw the doors. First thing I noticed and then read about in another customers review was that the doors will not close automatically. Its not a matter of tilting the fridge or adjusting the leveling. The door itself has some sort of a stop/break mechanism that prevents it (!) from shutting unless you push really hard - or should I say slam An when it reaches that stop/break point the alarm will not go off. Its easy to miss and as a result have to throw everything out. Especially if you have kids, no matter how many times you tell them I mean, a fridge door should close automatically, i shouldnt have to bother about it. That was my first red flag. So I start observing the doors. To my surprise I realize that every time you close the door (top or bottom) the other door bounces open just a tiny bit! Second red flag for a fridge I bought 1450 dollars. That is just ludicrous!

Great fridge - adjust your settings!
13 August 2024

Really happy with the fridge. It caught us out for the first few days, as it seemed to run quite a lot - however, after checking and adjusting the settings (which were Antarctic level) to something more reasonable for our climate, its run time has reduced significantly. Its really roomy, and feels abit more luxe with the steel interior back panel.Doesnt have an egg tray or butter section .. didnt consider this at purchase, however it doesnt phase me either.

Great fridge!
28 June 2023

This is a seriously great fridge. Super efficient, and super quiet. It is always making a very minor low noise, rather than kicking in and making a fuss for a couple minutes every half hour as some fridges do. Honestly, we barely ever hear it. The only downside to this fridge is the door closing/alarm - the door, if you don't put too much force into closing it, sometimes doesn't completely close, and will stay ajar. However, the alarm also won't go off at this point, as the light is off and I guess the door is considered "closed", which obviously is not ideal. We learnt the hard way (losing lots of food that expired far before it's best before) to double check the fridge is closed, especially if you won't be using it again for a little while. High pitch sharp humming
30 September 2024

Got the fridge from HN, been 2 weeks. Its a good one, does everything that a refrigerator does and looks good. Only issue which is not that big but if someone is sensitive to noise, this product does make a constant sharp noise which you can hear during silent hours. In Db, the noise may be less and as per industry standards for inverters but its high pitch makes it more piercing and noticeable! [1 star off due to that reason] Also, no egg trays. HN's delivery service was very professional though you need to make sure if you need installation or not. The only issue here is the product lies on a 2 inch thick foam which you need to wiggle around with atleast 2 people help to get it on the floor post which you can use the wheels.

Only 5 stars max, this fridge is 7 stars.DAY 1: I put an energy meter on, it used 150 watts. That explains the power use rating that seemed too high. Later it went to 80 or 70 W. It stayed on most the time.DAY 2: 60 WDAY 3: 35 WDAY 4: 25 W. Turns off more, about 2/3 of the time. The temp indoors was mid 20's. It uses 25 W if below about 22, and 35 W up to the max so far of 25.So .6 kWh per day.My older one nearly the same size did over 2kWh.I don't use the feet to tilt the fridge. It's nice and straight. And the door is made to handily stop from closing, so you'd have to manually close it anyway.

Quiet, spacious, look cool inside.
23 August 2024

I've purchased 2 of these now. Whilst it might be a pain that the freezer is at the bottom, this fridge is f quiet. Doesn't make a f sound. It's big but its good. Hisense is a hidden gem. But make sure you measure it twice. It has wheels to move, then extend the stumps to hold into position.

The first fridge with a 7 star energy rating
15 April 2023

This Hisense Fridge is very quiet when running, its so quiet you dont hear it turning on or off, the led light inside starts at a low light and increases the brightness, which is great at night so your not being blinded by a bright light straight away, the glass shelves are great, the freezer has a nice handy ice cube tray which has a lever you turn dropping the ice cubes into a tray below, its so easy and no mess the freezer drawers roll out and in easy. The height is not as tall as other fridge freezers allowing it to fit under overhead cabinets. We are very happy with our purchase. Also a nice discount for cash.

Very poorly made
5 May 2023

Fridge arrived and once unpacked we saw damage on the back around the wheel. Would have been at factory, as packaging was fine. Replacement fridge came and the freezer did not work well. All our frozens had to be thrown away, they went soft. Next fridge delivered and that one had some lifting of the veneer on the freezer door. Not much, but hey, this is a brand new fridge so we requested a replacement. Replacement door has just arrived. Unpacked it, and it has damage - a dent on the corner of the door just on the inside. Probably would work okay, but hey - this is a brand new fridge. Monday job - contact the sales manager again.
