Air Con Good. Customer Service Annoying.
The air-con is great. Blasts out cool air and made our sweaty hotbox office nice to be in. Basic remote and options, any idiot could figure it out.. which is great because I've got plenty. However, the customer service from The Good Guys is pretty slow and annoying. Make sure you buy the right unit, because it took about a month (through summer) to swap what we bought for a bigger one. The on-hold music will drive you insane, as you're lead around in bottomless circles. That said, the air con is pretty good.... Show more

Crackling/popping sound of plastic
I haven't tried cooling yet. i have only tried heating. It is powerful enough for my large en-suite.But it is generating continuous Crackling/Popping sound of plastic. It is very frustrating. it is happening after i turn it on and also after i turn it off.I bought one budget Kelvinator Split AC couple of years back. That one is very quite and doesn't produce this plastic sound.... Show more

Doesnt do what it says
Brought this unit as reviews were positive on how cold it gets how quite it is. Well let me say that the fast cooling of a small bedroom is a joke 16 degrees to cool room fast its like having a cool fan on thats it. To sit this at a temperature to save power like 22/23 degrees and be cool no no no. The box window, wall units we have in portable office is like being in th arctic on 16 degrees so this is very disappointing.... Show more

Does the job without the big price tag
Have only had this for a few weeks and have managed to use both the heating and cooling function during that time (welcome to Melbourne) and it does the job adequately. The features I am particularly impressed about is how quiet it is to operate and the fact that it can be remotely controlled via wifi - something I did not expect at this price point. Hope that it will last a long time but I guess that is what warranties are for. Also great service from the Good Guys in Ballarat. Have nothing but compliments for their team.... Show more

Exceeded Expectations
We have a modest 3x2 home in Perth and unbelievably this AC heats or cools the majority of the house in 30 minutes. Recent 37 day was no match and overnight 24 was made very comfortable. Be aware this unit is not recommended for our size house, only for a medium open plan living room. It doesn't care.Great WiFi controls using the app or alexa. We roof mounted the unit for convenience. I would highly recommend this product.... Show more

Great unit for the price.
Nice looking unit, easy to use. Heats and cools fast especially in Super mode. The invisible/hidden display is great, and you don't need to find the remote to see what temp the unit is set to. Glow in the dark remote buttons are a bonus. The Wifi function and app are great, especially to turn the unit on remotely so its warm when you get home, although the app sometimes looses connection to the device and you have to re-pair it.... Missing features and terrible install
Firstly Ill start with the good. The good guys sales experience was great. Ordered on the Sunday and picked up that day for a next day install. Discounted to meet the online purchase price plus a bit off the install which was slightly different to the wall to wall install. Now the bad. The hawvk18r model we purchased in store is different in features to the product weve received. Wifi connectivity is probably the biggest difference. Im not sure what happened here but only just noticed the difference. While the model we did received works well and does the basics (heating etc) really well Im confused how we ended up with a lesser model. The install was very average. Ive got a heap of gap filler thats cracked that was used to try and hide the cabling to outside. Wish ... MoreFirstly Ill start with the good. The good guys sales experience was great. Power consumption is elite
This aircon is so damn good, inexpensive and also stupidly inexpensive to run. I checked my electricity bill, slept with it on all summer nights, sometimes through the day too, my weekly use of electric was $30-$35. Good price to sleep in the cold I reckon. The only thing thats a bit annoying is the timer is only set for 8 hours to auto off, but thats just being picky. I also have a LG in the house and isnt as good as this. I have no idea why youd buy anything more expensive... Show more

screwup
Needed to urgently replace a aircon that had stooped working. Bought a replacement unit. Was with a friend and we specified the unit was on the first floor, arranged payment for the unit and installation, Installers came and said wanted another $200 because installation was on first floor, We are disability pensioners, so had to organize the $200. Installer said he would do another job and then come back. Unit still not installed and have been advised they would not install it till 1st March. Sales person in store was told it was on the first floor and a pic on the phone was shown of the existing setup. As am low vision blind my friend was with me and he confirmed that Goodguys were made aware of the 1st floor installation. We have paid for the unit and installation ... So many features
Love that it connects to your phone via an app or alexa. Super quiet and so many options including dehumidifier. Installation went very smoothly considering it had to be roof mount. Great price and heats and cools a far bigger area than we expected. Very happy with this purchase.... Show more
