Best hiking shoe yet!

I have been wearing the Anacapa Gore-Tex for over a year and love them. These Breeze are much cooler for summer dry hiking. I love the laces and fasteners as well. I'm not sure why REI doesn't have these yet but the Hoka return policy is also very good. But I will not be returning them as I love them! I wear a size 9 in Hoka, hiking shoes and boots, 8 1/2 in Hoka trail runners and waking shoes.

Didn't live up to the comfort I was hoping for

I loved that these shoes were stylish and the tan goes with everything. I also had to walk through some snow and my feet stayed dry so that was a plus. However, for the price I was expecting these to be super comfortable and not cause any foot pain. I put them to the test hiking for miles every day for a week in Utah and my feet were exhausted / hurt after each day. It seems something is off with the arch area of Hoka hiking boots. I don't have any special arch requirements and can wear any shoes but something just felt weird in the inner arch area of these shoes. They also came untied often, so I'd recommend double knotting them for long hikes. Overall, they are nice but not worth the price for the level of comfort you get.

This is my second pair of HOKA's I have bought for work. I have covered several other drivers after my podiatrist referred them after a stress fracture in my my foot. They are amazing super lightweight. Hold my feet and ankles securely and as my fellow drivers say the are like walking on a cloud and when you are on your feet as much as us that speaks volumes. Keep up the good craftsmanship and we will all keep buying.

Hiking
6 April 2023

I did spend quite a bit of time chatting with the customer service rep before purchase because wanted to know how the tow box might fit on my regular size 9 if my feet would swell with spring/summer hiking. With her advice I ordered half size up to 9.5 and the fit has plenty of room in case I need to wear a heavier sock and to allow for natural swelling. Just been out in them already even on the street to take them for a test run. So far so good.

Hoka is my new fave
31 July 2023

Just found Hoka recently looking for hiking shoes that work better for my feet than the ones I was wearing...which were a good brand, but no longer comfortable for my changing feet. Hoka has become my favorite! Great toe box width that I need. I now own 5 pair... 1 Giovanni for walk abouts, recovery sandals, and now, 3 hiking boot pairs... 2 Anachapa GTX & this Breeze. Love them all, but this Breeze has the most fun color combination for me.

I gave it a shot

I really wanted to like this Hoka. The styling is cute and refreshing and I was looking for a new Plush Hoka so I tried it. My usual fit for my other six Hoka pairs are either women's 8 wide or 8.5 regular. I only get 8.5 regulars when the Hoka model I want doesn't offer a wide version. Since this Anapaca Breeze wasn't offered in a wide (please Hoka, make hiking boots in wides for women), I bought the 8.5. What I received was much longer and narrower than my other 8.5 Hoka's. It has a huge amount of toe room length and is narrow on the outside part of the shoe. I wore them for two days (8 hours each day) over the course of a week. I really wanted them to work but concluded that they were not going to "give in" and be any more comfortable. Since Hoka's website's ... MoreI really wanted to like this Hoka. Since Hoka's website's description stated that this shoe was a Plush, I was looking forward to that type of Plushness that comes from the Bondi. This Anapaca Breeze is "cushy" when you walk on it but doesn't offer the solidness and magic carpet comfort of a Bondi plush. I'll be returning the boxed shoes to the post office tomorrow. It's nice that Hoka pays for return postage. Thanks for letting me try it out, Hoka. I hope more Hoka's will offer more models and colors in women's wides, especially for hiking.

Only B Width Available
25 April 2023

I own four pairs of Hoka shoes and one pair of hiking boots-- the speed goat mid 2 GTX. But my Hoka hiking boots wore out, so I bought these Anacapa breeze Hoka boots. They are just too narrow and I couldn't tie them back tightly enough to keep my toes from touching the tip of the inside of the boot, even though I always buy a half a size bigger than I usually wear to leave room for socks, and, no toe rubbing. My original hooker, hiking boots were not with me, but now Hoka only sells hiking boots in B width.

Shoe part is comfy -- high-top wasn't for me
8 July 2023

Buying online is always a gamble. I needed a pair of high-quality hiking shoes for a pilgrimage I'll be walking in August. I decided to try out the high-top style. They arrived quickly, and I tried them on and walked around the house in them. I thought the high tops would provide extra stability for my ankles, but I just really didn't like them rubbing against the front of my legs. I could tell that the same shoe in a low-profile design would probably suit me much better. I simply returned the shoes, exchanged them for the Anacapa Breeze Low design, and I'm good to go. The return/exchange was super easy, and I DO really like the Anacapa Breeze Low shoes.

A breathable hiking boot is exactly what I've been waiting for from HOKA. This one looks and feels great. It has everything I want in a boot...great cushion, breathability, grippy sole, and durable upper. I have two complaints: 1. They need to offer a wide version. This boot feels narrow in the toe box/forefoot. 2. The threading/seam that runs across the the forefoot from the tongue/laces to the midsole across big toe joint was bothersome on one boot. Otherwise, these have so much potential. The size is very true. I returned mine simply because I I'd be better off with a wide version if they made it. The boot was quite comfortable around the house, but I had my doubts about hiking 10 miles in them without a little more width in the toe box. Many will love this boot, I just like a little extra breathing room for my toes.

The one where we go hiking...

Very nice product. Stylish and sturdy. I sized down and made the right choice. I'm usually an 8.5 but the 8 fit well and with room. This color turned out to be more tan/ beige than I imagined and I like it. Works well with ash brown and olive green. Spend the extra couple dollars to buy these if you want to a good outfit that stands up to best of them without sacrificing the knee pain, ankle pain, the back pain that comes with walking around for hours. Worth every penny.
